I've read this from other source and while I can see what Paula Radcliffe is trying to say, it's a horrible crime and the 1 year sentence sound bloody ridiculous.

 

By comparision, when you look at Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding in rugby, who were innocent in a court of law, they still had to give up on their international rugby careers.

BBC seem ready for the usual "where is all the coverage you had before?" They sort of got away with this in Rio and Japan due to time differences, but now it will be very clear that the IOC sold the rights to Warner Brothers Discovery in 2015.

The whole France Argentina needle from the French in rugby 7s due to the Enzo Fernandez' video is a bit ironic seeing as a French rugby player made racist remarks in Argentina when France toured there a few weeks ago.

You get more Moroccans, Tunisians, Algerians in France for colonial reasons who seems more susceptible to extremism than say people of Pakistani/Bangladeshi ethnicity here and we seem to do integration a lot better despite what people say. Also France were leaders in the bombing campaign in Iraq and Syria plus the rampant poverty in their big cities that make our cities look well off.

Can't wait, Proper Sport, people that have trained all their lives, mornings before we get up, evenings after we are asleep, pushing themselves so hard they are physically ill (seen it at Loughboro Uni back in the day) for one fleeting moment of often unpaid glory.

That moment where we'll see a little of sports we have never seen before and probably won't see for another 4 years.  Should GB get to 70 medals lots, of smiley face feel good adrenaline, excitement (Athletics is going to be amazing) & joy.  In front of spectators for the 1st time in 8 years.  With personal stories & journeys aplenty, during a great summer of sport.

 

BRING IT ON!!!

 

Congrats to those that have tickets to any events, enjoy (very jealous).

Yes these days the sheen is somewhat taken off it by the IOC standardisation & commercialisation & country athlete sponsorship.

 

But in that moment when those 10,500 competitors are battling to be on the podium, to be the fastest, the highest, the strongest, lets really enjoy watching it.
