Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)

Recommended Posts

As much as you all don't not want to hear it, Ayew will be ideal in our team. He's horrible to play against, runs forever, wins free kicks, holds the ball up and gains yards. We could go out and buy some maverick who can do all the tricks but that's not what we need right now.

6 million quid. Shit the bed.

Won't even get in the side. Who's he gonna drop out of the first 11 from Monday to play this pillock?

Worrying that the quote says he's getting straight in the side.

He gets stuck in and is a direct attacker but we have BDCR, Fatawu, Mcateer and Mav already, he is also 32/33 and won't be getting any better.

3 goals though gerrimin

I can see McAteer heading out on loan

The fee is stupid but he’ll be handy I’m sure, as a third choice forward and to cover other forward positions. If it’s anything other than backup to Vardy and another striker (a new, first choice striker), then this is pretty concerning. He is versatile and hard working, but too old for the fee and the contract we will likely offer him.

I just hope he is coming in as a squad player and another striker is coming.

Come on, he is obviously not a first XI guy, he is another attacker we can use if needed. :dunno:

Just worried about that tweet stating he will play.

We don't need him.

Strange rather develop him in the Prem and try to increase his value

How much game time is he likely to get to be able to develop behind BDCR, Ayew, Fatawu, and Mav though?

A season doing well in the Championship is likely to develop him more and increase his value imo

He improves our squad, and gives us a few options. Vastly experienced Premier League player. For this season he’ll be a better option than gambling on a young kid from abroad at that price.

How does he improve our squad?

He certainly doesn’t improve our starting 11 and it was clear to see that is needed on Monday.

We lack quality and filling it with a striker/winger that has scored 37 goals, 25 assists from 275 PL appearances and turns 33 in a couple of months will be a drain on our resources more than anything else.

I despise our board/top level management so much.

We need attackers, not all of which will be starters. Sure would have someone flashy, but that is probably not what we need for ,the fight.

We also need goals in the side. Can you describe Ayew as an attacker?

Just sack Cooper if he's behind this which he is. Ayew and Reid here till 2027, pathetic, may as well not bother

Stay at home then. That attitude will not be missed.

Why would you believe that? You think this is a direct quote of what is likely a private conversation, seems far fetched to me.
