He's 21 and scored 1-in-3 for one of the worst sides in the league last season, don't really get where all this 'he's ****ing shit' stuff is coming from? Better than Daka. Plenty of young players have gone to Chelsea recently and stalled, doesn't mean their careers are over.

On what basis is he better than Daka, out of interest? His record for goals+assists relative to his minutes played for Burnley and Union is much worse than Daka's for us even if you leave out the latter's Championship stats

It’s been two games and we’ve scored in both 🙄

Not exactly carving the chances out though are we? Last 3 games in pre season we couldn't muster a goal. One of our main goal threats doesn't even start. Apart from 15 to 20 minutes against Spurs we look bereft of ideas.

Misses just about as many big chances as Daka does

I think Fofana would end up frustrating us just as much as Daka

This would have to be the easiest and most boring signing of a pretty poor transfer window.

If he comes in on loan (can’t be a £30m obligation like Ipswich appear to have with Broja) then there are worse as back up options but like countless others have stated….how horribly misguided are we?

All we needed was a quality striker, KDH replacement and a LB with a couple of exciting prospects thrown in (Facundo a prime example) we’ve seem to not had that memo and gone for everything else.

Fofana can do more on his own and is a much better dribbler. He can be used as a striker but anyone expecting double digit goals next season will likely be disappointed. I still think he’s a useful player with a lot of room to grow.

Does seem like this will be the one we target. Tanner seems to think our budget is gone and it’s got to be a loan with an obligation.

Bear in mind tanner said we had 10m to spend before we went and spent another 50m.

How often to Leicester try to offload players and teams refuse to give any obligation. Chelsea are desperate to cut their numbers don't see any reason to give way on this and commit to anything beyond a loan

Maybe even low ball bids for Fofana and Chukwuemeka. Chelsea seem to want to move them on. Take a cheap offer from us or send them on loan. Options appear to be limited and Maresca has said he won't operate with a big squad.

Enzo is a Muppet. If he doesn't want to operate a big squad, why go to Chelsea....

He's gone for the pay out like every other manager that goes there.

Yesh, can see why it might need to be a loan with obligation rather than a loan with an option, reason being the latter will often incur a sizeable loam fee to cover the other clubs amortised value for the year of the player or a replacement which is often no different to buying the player outright in PSR terms. With an obligation though we can agree a very small loan feel that barely registers for PSR for this year and then load it in to the permanent transfer from the year after.
