We've got a couple of games now before the next international break in early October; one could be an absolute massacre (Arsenal away) and Bournemouth at home, which should be a winnable one under normal circumstances but looks a horrible fixture for us. 

 

Anything less than 1-3 points from those games and they HAVE to pull the trigger before we play Southampton at home immediately after the international break before we're cut hopelessly adrift. Do it imminently, and we may just be able to get a good manager in with a plan.

He’s excelled himself today. I know he can’t get enough of his experienced pros but he’s gone out of his way to make their pair of Young and Keane look good by leaving Ayew on them all match, even bringing Fatawu on for Mavididi on the other side at the end. Well bottled again Steve

Completely as expected. Steve cooper is delivering exactly what we all knew. And he will still have another 10 games just to be sure he delivers exactly what we all knew. Predictable performance, disgraceful ownership of this football club.

I suspect he was a cheap, short term option. The club were probably hoping he'd either be able to scrape 17th and give him a contract extension, or sack him without a crippling payoff if it all went wrong. I doubt he was anywhere near their first choice either.
