How many truly entertaining, attacking teams are there to watch this season in the PL? Consistently?

Liverpool, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Villa? Maybe a couple more but that makes for a very unattractive and stale league.

Seems like sometimes teams are overly cautious, ourselves very much included. Or just totally devoid of quality, ourselves very much included lol

It's why I hope that we abandon any delusions of grandeur about being a mini Manchester City and do what we were doing ten years ago.

Hungry free agents with something to prove, academy products, a manager who values substance over style and exciting football. With any luck, we'll be forced into it.

You got the top 4 teams aren't that strong any. more and the bottom teams really crap. While the middle teams like Brentford, Palace, Bournemouth, Fulham, Newcastle, Forest, Villa and Brighton all playing decent football. Thus the tops teams are finding bit a slog trying to win against them

Well they said this Manchester Derby would be low key.

Derbies in england are almost always dull, I don't think the fans particulary care either.

The best thing about a borefest Manchester Derby is that it means that Drury has only screamed a name two or three times all match, and even then only in half-stangulated near chance mode, and also that Gary Neville hasn't had the chance to do that Jimmy Savile gargle noise he makes.

It's almost been like snooker commentary at times.

Physicality preferred over ability for a while now, its athletes vs athletes most teams styles of play are stale and averse to taking risks. Time wasting, feigning injuries, var and stop start games.

I really enjoyed the old firm derby in Scotland last month..that was exciting...end to end stuff with Rangers scoring the winner with minutes to go

It’s pretty easy to see why Forest are doing well even watching this crap. Any side with any brains will just pack their attack with pace this summer. Possession based football is dead. PSG winning the UCL with their forward line/style would probably be good for the sport too.

What's the point of Man City....Peps made them so dull to watch, their fans probably don't care 🤷🏽

They're just having a bad year :dunno:

They've scored an absurd amount of goals during his time there and have played some ridiculously good football winning basically the everything.

I reckon their fans are pleased idk?

Generally think it's been a piss poor standard in the prem this year

which shows how bad we've been

Haha yeah exactly. We'd have finished lower mid table in the championship with this squad and the managers we've had. Utterly abysmal

I am glad that more and more people are showing disdain for the absolutely soul sucking diabolical obsession with safety first possession football. It's really making the game a chore, I've found myself watching less Premier league games than ever the past season or two.

Can't be arsed tunining in to see teams take in turns playing turgid slow football to the half way line, losing the ball and then having 11 robots get behind the ball. Toss in VAR killing any remaining momentum left in games. It's gross.

It's a shame that the players for the most part aren't allowed to display their full quality, unless it falls within the coaches desired framework of play. Bring back the mavericks and 50/50 challenges.

It's alright for Neville to rant about how micromanaged and robotic PL football has become, but he and his colleagues at Sky have contributed to this for years with their obsession over the big 6, Pep, and everything else that is wrong with the game.

You can't have it both ways.

It's so far removed from when i started watching city that it's barely recognizable as the same sport.

I honestly don't know what people enjoy about the modern football 'experience'....but it's never been more popular so....

Just watched the Manchester Derby and maybe I'm just bored of football.

Modern day football, the players just don't have the passion (... Oh f*** - I've got old and turned into my Dad with the football was better in my day spiel)
