I'm not gonna laugh too much because I know we'll get similar slaps throughout on Monday.

Not laughing at all, they have done well, and thought they might keep it tight all game.

That looked offside by PL offside rules. But did not show a check. So Random

Every goals checked, it will have just been clear enough onside that there's no need to drag a decision out

I think this notion misses one huge issue we had during that period - our income streams were never strong enough to sustain our top 6-8 position.

You also have to consider clubs like Villa, Newcastle and West Ham - all with stronger income basis - were in a process of sorting out their years of serious mis-management and under funding whilst we were enjoying success.

In a way we did really well to gain success from a core of a team that was initially built in the Championship and ride the evolution of what was an older squad into a new one with continued success for a few years after that.

Did we even need to sustain top 6-8? What we did was absolutely enough to become a very strong Premier League team year after year. It didn't even take a particularly amazing Director of Football and set up. Just a good one.

We had absolutely massive sales for a club of our size. That was then put into a completely unsustainable wage model.

Without the absolutely horrendous transfers windows we had we would absolutely be ahead of Bournemouth, Fulham, Forest and the promoted sides but even those clubs are now more appealing.

You're right that it would have taken too much to stay at top 6 level but don't accept what's happened as inevitable to be below those clubs. It's a disgrace what's happened.

Potentially.

Big difference between doing well in the Championship and PL.

Not if you’re talented, there has been lots of examples in the last 20 years of players that have not only successfully made the transition, but flourished.
