going to be embarassing when they get deducted 65 points and still finish above us

They will probably get docked points for next season so won't make any difference as they'll get enough to stay up and re build from then on.

personally think that’s how it should always work. Any in season docking just looks at how they are doing and will pick something achievable.

one for the next season messes up your summer plans as we found out the hard way

Problem with this Man City case is that everyone has already found them guilty in their head.

This is a very complex case, 115 separate charges with evidence, context and the knowledge of the rules critical - hence the incredible number of lawyers and time it's taken to analyse and build their sides.

But to football fans they're guilty as charged. Get em relegated and if they're found not guilty on any of them it's a FIX.

It's not nice to hear but they might get off on them legitimately. Heck, their very expensive legal team might have found a loophole in the rules, who knows.

I'm not diving in front of the Man City bullet, I won't be championing them. I'm just saying that if they do get found not guilty on one, some or all of the charges, and it actually is based on solid legal reasons, everyone will say it's corrupt anyway.

Oh and if they're found guilty and sanctioned badly then they'll appeal all the way up to the highest court they can, so forget this being over anytime soon.

They got done by UEFA and would have got done even more if it wasn't for the time limit on some of the charges. The PL doesn't have that so they're bound to be found guilty of at least one or two charges relating to PSR. They'll probably get deducted a small amount of points at most.

One thing that's often missing from the Man City conversation is that the current charges relate to the period of 2009 to 2018.

Pretty sure PL was investigating from 2021 onwards and then charged in 2023 and now here we are with the trial starting in 2024 and going into 2025. They'll probably get whatever punishments/decisions in mid to late 2025 and then start appealing/taking it to higher courts etc.

Could be 2026 or later that something actually happens.

The question is, what happens to the period of 2018-2026? Surely they will have been cheating/breaking the rules in a similar fashion in that period too? Won't the PL be perpetually investigating them and trying to bring punishments in?

£3 a pint at Man Utd??

Tottenham's ground is absolutely brilliant.

I've only been once when we got trounced in the relegation season but at half time you can easily get a beer and it's not massively overpriced.

They desperately need to bring in those glasses that fill from the bottom here at Leicester. So much quicker to serve a pint.

The shirt prices are ludicrous. There needs to be a cap on things like this. Imagine a family wanting to buy their kids shirts, it's insane.
