Leverkuzen's 2nd goal is a masterpiece. There's no other team in the world right now playing such direct attacking football. Yes they're a bit vulnerable at the back but this team imo plays the best football of the last 20yrs at least. 

And now it's 0-3.

Mental mate. It's already 0-4. These were 45mins of amazing football. Just 3 passes and they were inside the box all the time. It looks like they're playing on a 5vs5 pitch. This is better than prime Barca or Man City. I'm speechless.

I detest the goblin. I give the players credit for our cup win not him. I really hated how he fact he spoke about our relegation in the past tense, a year or so back, as though it was nothing to do with him!

In other news, Atletico surely holds the record worldwide of most late goals scored. This is down to Simeone. I know a lot of people hate him but imo he's a legend, great manager.

You could argue it favours big teams, you could equally argue it favours smaller teams. I broadly think it's a load of shite but the last round or two could be really interesting, I would judge it once that's done tbh. That knockout round they've introduced too could be great for drama and some surprises 

 

No failures from the Champs League dropping into the Europa probably makes this whole shuffle a net positive because that was always crap n all

In the European rugby comp in the Swiss format, once it settles down after 2 or 3 matches teams start to prioritise games and you get a load of dead rubbers / reserve teams playing. 
 

It’s not particularly clear if like 9th play 24th - ie there’s a preference to finishing as high as possible within your section. 
 

Think it will be worse in the other comps where the quality gap is larger too
