I don’t think there was much we could do to convince Hzolek to sign for us. 

 

Once you’ve agreed a fee with the club and put your contract offer to a player, that’s pretty much it, you can’t go about making huge changes if you want to look like a serious outfit.

 

I doubt Hoffenhiem were proposing to pay more than us in wages, but what they could do is offer guaranteed terms for longer and European football.

 

Even if we did turn round and say “how about £10,000 / £20,000 a week more?” that contract would only be guaranteed if we stayed up… and the player + agent could quite rightly question why we didn’t offer those amounts before?

No idea? Im struggling to even remember his england caps hes had, he dont even look like a player i have noticed playing,  but somebody's listed his appearances, its not to shabby...just wish i could put a player to the name and a performance

I'm guessing he's been available to them since the window opened but he was about the 10th choice because the price tag was so high. 9 strikeouts later, here we are.

I could understand if you had never heard of him if at a foreign league but I would have thought that even with a passing interest in other Premier teams the name would be familiar

I've watched alot of football over the years and Oliver Skipp, Bobby Reid and Jordan Ayew just come across as nothing players and at best water carriers, not sure what we're looking to gain from bringing in these types of players. Skipp out of the three may become something more given his age but we desperately need some firepower.

He is a decent player. I think fans will take to him a bit like they have with Winks. Very hard worker and a top professional. 

Overpriced, but he is a great age and will hopefully become and important player for us over the next few seasons. 

We need a few more at least though.

Popov played for the U-21's wouldn't say he is ready to step up, he looked rather clumsy when I saw him play Friday evening

No real idea who this guy is, but his bio says he hosts ‘the double pivot’ podcast.

 

A mix of comments beneath it too.

 

I get a feeling this is a signing is one that will forever divide the fanbase - so pretty much a typical Leicester signing!
