Our fellow journalist at FOX Sports , Gustavo Mendoza, had already revealed in recent days that Nottingham Forest was the most insistent club in acquiring Bebote's services, even with a call from Nuno Espírito Santo directly to Gimenez to make him see how important he considers him for his project as a coach.

Although Nottingham has lost momentum in recent days, that does not mean it is ruled out, another Premier League team appears to be following in the footsteps of the Cruz Azul team, information revealed on Tuesday night in La Última Palabra .

Gustavo Mendoza himself shared privileged information , after consulting with people close to the Mexican National Team striker, about the appearance of Leicester City on the scene asking about his services, although there is nothing formal at the moment.

“Santiago is putting sporting interests before economic ones. By the way, Leicester approached to ask why they only have Jamie Vardy as a striker, who is 37 years old. Having understood the point, Alberto Lati believes that it would be better for Santi Gimenez to go to the Premier this summer , as long as the coach considers him essential, as has already been demonstrated by Nottingham.

“We would have liked him to go to Manchester United, Liverpool, Atlético de Madrid or Juventus, but perhaps it is not the right time . Going as a leader, as a first striker to a project in a top league and not going as a third striker to a top-level team, that will come to him if he earns it. I think Nottingham is a great option for Santi Gimenez because he fulfils that requirement, it is the Premier League and the coach wants him ,” said Lati in LUP.

A loan with obligation dependent on survival seems the only way this could happen for us.

 

If Forest aren't willing to spend on both him and Nketiah it could be doable.

 

I'm not holding my breath, though.

59 goals in 83 Appearances that’s some return let’s see if he can do that in the Premier League see if we can get him to sign on the dotted line for us?

Unfortunately, there’s a good history of CONCACAF forwards impressing and putting up great scoring numbers in the Eredivisie but failing to produce the goods elsewhere.
