We are likely to need to flip some players for a big profit again. This is going to be one of the biggest net spends in a transfer window for many a year whilst we're still trying to navigate financial restraints.

Looking through our squad it's not blessed with obvious assets that we'd see £20-40m + profits on. That's why I chunter on and on and on about our game plan.

Cant wait to sell Fatawu and Stephi ....

We'll have to accept that he'll use us as a stepping stone. I bet he'll hope that he can impress in a better league to get a bigger move.

We win as we have a chance ro stay up with a better player, if he does impress his value goes up and we can make a quick profit. His attitude to join us doesn't scream loyalty, and very Fofana like. But as a business, who cares. If he performs on the pitch which is good enough to stay up and stabilise us, I really don't mind.

We need a player like this, so it's a win all round. Just don't expect him to be staying for a long period, especially if we go down.

What we don't want is for him to be a bad apple. Time will tell, but it might be a risk worth taking

Yeah your right, I’ve gone from being absolutely peed off with us not keeping our best players and having to sell to Chelsea for mega money to thinking well let’s hope this guy comes good so we can make some money. How shit is that

El Khannouss: player has been spotted at Zaventem to fly to England for his medical tests and to complete his transfer of 25 million euros (inc. bonuses). Player keen on the move.

Get Big Daddy on that plane. Until we have a picture of the back of his head this isn’t happening.

There's a Jet landing at EMA at 9:50 from Liege which is the closest airport to Genk ;)

Stand down... it's a medical jet... unless we've crocked him already lol

One look at Rudkin and he's faked an ACL on the stairs up to the plane

Wonder why he is doing the medical at MIHP and not with us? Guess clubs just outsource more these days!

Might just be travelling to Manchester then onto Leicester?

I've seen quite a few clubs using MIHP lately to be fair, just assumed that's what Tav meant by Manchester for medical tests.

10am Brussels time is 9am here. That flight gets into Manchester at 10.20am UK time. Can anybody get up there to greet him off the plane with a sign which says, "Would you honestly not prefer Roma?"
