You can groan about his decision making - I thought it was a clear panelty on Vardy and Tielemans knew it from his reaction.

However how many times does a ref get hit by the ball three times? That’s just poor officiating.

Never a penalty in a million years.

Yiu have had an absolute shocker there calling that a pen.

At least we’ve got something to talk about now after that thrilling last week of the window as predicted

Skipp took ball and man from behind, when the guy was breaking clear. In modern football that will be a freekick most of the time. Yellow felt harsh though.

The ball hit the ref and redirected into Skipps path for the disallowed goal. Not much to do about that.

Tielemans clearly hit the ball first before clashing with Vardy.

This was a solid ref performance. Reserve your anger till we get proper shafted.

That’s one description I wouldn’t use even if you agreed with his decision making.

But it was. That actually happened. So the ref has said Vardy touched the ball.

So the ref thinks vardy touches the ball

he maybe gives a pen

the var would over rule cos it just wasn’t.  the only way that could be a pen is if tielemans clears the ball and goes through the man recklessly. But he didn’t so it wasn’t.

the throw in should have been ours - thats all - and we wasted the time we had left to equalise by arguing about it for 45 seconds

Ref stopped the game and ruled our goal out because it hit him, then later in the game the ref played on after it hit him? So…?

On our ‘goal’ the ball deflected into the path of our runner when it wasn’t headed for him before the deflection.  Late in the game the touch off the ref had no material effect on the movement of the ball to our player - so he played on

But is that the rule? The ref appeared to stop the game every time it touched him, apart from that one time he didn’t.

so wild inconsistency and terrible game management

If the touch of the ref has a material impact on the movement of the ball then the game stops and it’s a drop ball to the side who would have had possession

on winks’ clearance, it wasn’t clear who would have got the ball so he just asked them to give it back to us

but he shouldn’t be getting in the way of the ball that many times - poor positioning by him

We’re referring to different incidents then.  There was an incident after our ‘equaliser’ the ball clearly hit the ref but he played on regardless. Probably didn’t dare stop the game again!

can’t remember for sure. - if it’s deflected away from its intended path then he is supposed to stop the game

It isn’t just decisions that was the issue with him, it was him taking SO long during those decisions to let play start again

wtf was he doing for the drop ball outside our box - he didn’t help himself at all by making it look like he doesn’t know what to do

100%

they wasted so much time and he just indulged them

What was that weird moment in the 2nd half when Villa were preparing to take a freekick in right back position and the ref made them change the ball position a few times, then blew his whistle to halt the game and pointed around at all the Villa players and gave a sort of crossed raised arms signal?

it was bizarre. I wondered if he was warning them all against timewasting?

Was sitting close to the pitch in row E right in line with that foul on Vardy for the penalty.

The foul on Vardy looked so stone wall penalty. How the ref refused to go to VAR and get away with it, I haven’t a clue! Vardy clearly got to the ball first. But either way, how the hell doesn’t he go to VAR for such a decision??

I thought we gave them a tough game and on  another day could easily have won it. PS, Villa players are cheating time wasting ba**ards!

play like that with the new players only getting better, we have every chance of having a good season

But let them carry on doing it anyway

What did he get wrong? Thought most decisions were correct.

Don’t think he made any specific howlers

but I’d need to see the Skipp foul and the Vardy penalty shout again.

but his overall game management was woeful. Wildly inconsistent about enforcing or not enforcing restart positions. Managed to get in the way of the ball 3-4 times. Was constantly in the way of Winks.

kept whistling at Villa to hurry / warn them for timewasting but never booked anyone.

in the first half board only added 2 mins when it should have been more, there was stoppages within the 2 mins and yet still blew up on 47:50

managed to annoy both sets of fans, players and managers
