2-1 win today

Ayew (2)

You are forgetting  with Cooper we have to be 2 nil down before we are allowed to attack.

Crap defensive line- up coming, wait 60 minutes, 2 down, sub off Vardy as our only possible scorer, when he's had no support. Post match, 'it was really close and we deserved a point.'

Seriously, any one of us could pick a team to lose every away game.

What is it now 16 games since Cooper won in the PL? Rudders - Gerrmin.

We've really got to go in to this with the aim of winning - Coming away with at least a point at the away fixtures.

When you take away the likes of Man City, Liverpool & Arsenal, it's really the teams like Palace, Bournemouth & Fulham that you need to be getting points from to aide your survival.

Just hoping to beat our fellow fodder like Southampton, Ipswich & Everton won't be enough to survive.

Don't want to see Ndidi anywhere near the starting line up.

I do find it ironic that most posters have Skipp as a starter yet most posters believe we over paid for him with a general census it would have been a good deal for £10m.

The Premier Lge teams spent over £2bn in this window with no more than 15-20 signings being £10m or under, now if we look at those signings how many will be in the starting 11 for their new clubs and how many can do the same role as Skipp?

Skipp is lumped in with Ayew & Bobby as a bad buy but I think we’ll see 20 hopefully 25m turns out to be a good bit of busy, he improves us from day 1 & there are not many 10m signings that improve a 1st 11 nowadays.

As for the other 2 I don’t see Bobby as a 1st teamer but handy to have late on when/if we are holding a lead.

Ayew isn’t as bad as some make out it’s just that we have seen him for such a long time so it’s kinda underwhelming but he’ll do the job he was brought in for and once Mavadidi gets his head around what’s required Ayew will probably slip down as per Bobby, especially now that Eddie is back up to Vardy.

On the whole it’s a pretty decent window for a club in our position, what did we get 8 in (9 with Fats) with 5 probably seen as & making starting 11, we lost KDH a single starter, how can that make the squad worse than last season 🤷‍♂️

And if so, it's no coincidence Cooper's away record as a manager is diabolical at this level.

spot on. having 4 defensive based midfielders/forwards and relying purely on one winger and the striker, as we have done this far, is how you get trounced on the regular, because you pose zero threat and teams don't have to worry about defending. you want to set up solidly? fine, play the double pivot, or even 3 cms, but then have two wingers and a forward with license to just go forward and stretch the game

Ayew with two long rangers, complete unjust 3 points.

Just heard his pre-match comments about “how challenging an away match is in the PL.”

No wonder his teams travel so poorly, his mentality to away games is honking.

Look to unsettle the home crowd, all home support is fickle and quickly get on players backs yet we set up to be so passive.

He’s pissing me off with these comments about how hard it is this and that, may aswell tell your players your shit and we will be lucky if we don’t get bartered every week

It is possible to believe that Skipp is a decent player AND that we over paid for him.

Not only did we overpay but we blew the budget on a position in which we were already well stocked.  I think that it would have been better spent where the team is weakest.

I think it was also a bit of a depressing buy because it signals Cooper's intention to play a block of DMs, even at home and that paucity of ambition is going to cost us.

None of that is criticism of the player himself.

But we've lost four of our six best players last season form the starting xi;

KDH, Ricky, Mavididi and Vesty..

Only Winks and Mads and to an extent Wilf, Fatawu and Faes remain from last season's core team. That's helluva blow to recover from, albeit self inflicted
