I would have gladly taken a draw at the start, but after how the game unfolded, I'm gutted we didn’t come away with the win. Costly individual errors from Coady and Winks killed us.

 

That said, there are still positives. The players seem to be putting in a solid shift for the manager.

 

Another Jamie Vardy goal to add to the total is always a bonus as well.

We dared them to score and they did.

 

What was he expecting we were crying out for someone in midfield to keep hold of the ball and control the game instead we pull everyone back and hoof the ball up to them so they can have another go.

Palace had no attacking rhythm until we had 9 defenders on and we couldn’t string a passes together. 

 

Hamza is so crap at this level he should really not play anymore. Did nothing.

 

Then after Coady came on, Palace was attacking us left right and center. Coady giving away the penalty is just a symptom of very poor tactically mindset. Defend 20 mins with 8/9 defenders is never going to work. Palace had nothing other than the one goal before that.

 

Very poor subs and very poor mindset. This is all on Cooper.

Cooper is more conservative than a Margaret Thatcher branded chastity belt, and it's cost us again. 

 

With no points deduction and actually a pretty decent squad, the job is no longer a hot potato and we could undoubtedly get a better manager in. If he's here past November, I'll be absolutely seething.

Coopers howling tactical ineptitude has cost us once again. 
 

We’re fully aware Coady made a poor challenge. But Cooper can’t set up a team to defend. In the last three games when we have, we’ve conceded goals and it was going to be no different today. His substitutions are absolutely horrendous….. palace are as limp as they come in front of goal, and yet we just gave them the impetus late on to get something from the game. There was no way to relieve the pressure, he went full on defence mode, and we simply can’t deal with it under him. 
 

He’s yet again tossed points away, he can **** right off, he’s ****ing shit.

COOPER OUT. How dare he tell Coady to give a stupid penalty away. 
Get a grip, all throughout that game the match thread was a cesspit of personal digs at the manager, we are 2-1 up away from home at a very capable palace team and we brought on defensive players to see out the game during a period we were inevitably going to be under pressure, could we have gone about it in a different way to alleviate the pressure, sure, but the vast majority of football managers do this exact thing away from home, it was working until Coady put in a stupid challenge. 
Be constructive, just abusing the manager speaks more about your own intellect than anyone else's. Embarrassing fans.

The negativity around here has gotten out of hand, it's become toxic and a real turn-off. 

 

I thought Cooper did alright, though Coady's mistake was poor, but those things happen and will happen against this season. His mistake was having Coady on the bench instead of Vestergaard who outshines Coady in almost every aspect of the game.

Gone are the days when teams are losing, that they just pump the ball into the box for 20 minutes from the keeper.

 

Hamza did nothing other than chasing shadows for 20 minutes, no tackles, no outlet for other players, nothing.

 

Coady who’s been injured, or not in the squad, makes a tackle that someone with no minutes all season makes.

 

and then you put the winger who you brought on as a CAM/second striker for the last 15 minutes.

 

You’re never going to see out games with 5 defenders and 3 DMs on the pitch.

Cooper is pathetic. 

 

Anyone with eyes could see that, that equaliser had been coming from the 50th minute onward and he done absolutely nothing to change it. 

Then two like for like subs in the 70th odd minute, again not addressing the tactical issue and just hoping to hold on until finally going even more defensive and bringing on another CB. 

 

I wasn't totally against him coming in but he's an absolute clown!

Credit to him for the team set up, but once again his in game managing has been abysmal and cost us 2 points.

I definitely wouldn't, this is the sort of game we need to be winning if we're gonna stay up.

 

Failing to beat Everton next week and it won't be looking good.

So annoying because with things like this, especially involving us, because you can ALWAYS see the goal coming

If he’d have taken off defenders and put on attackers when protecting a lead he’d be rightly ridiculed if we lost the lead. Don’t have a problem with trying to see the game out last ten mins.
 

Don’t see how you legislate against absolutely moronic decision making from Coady as a manager, aside from not playing him again. IMO Coady is rubbish, but he is a very experienced player at this level and he should know much better than that. You bring him on expecting leadership and a calming influence at the least, and here he delivered the opposite.
