True, but he's not really had a fair crack of the whip yet. Needs a dozen more games of zero progression under his belt before we can write him off, even though our concerns are warranted and growing.

Why wait though? The result of the points deduction is pointless if we write off a dozen games

Seeing as he tweaked it today with the left back tucking in and the right back being more advanced, there is zero excuse not to start Ricardo now. Have Bounanotte & El Khannouss rotating the 10 position and Mavididi on the left. Harsh on Ndidi but we need more attacking players for home games likes Everton.

Would not be surprised at all to see the same lineup. 

Despite the fact we all say it's too defensive, today has somewhat vindicated him in the selection of Wilf in an advanced role.  He's got 2 assists today, and if it weren't for Ayews tame sidefoot over at 0-0 he could and should have had a hat trick of assists.  Although on paper it's 3 DMs it didn't play that way in the first half.  It wasn't actually a negative selection.

The negativity came with the subs.  Taking off 2 wingers and essentially a 10 for 1 winger a DM and a CB into what is already a very defensive minded set of players was farcical.  Turned the game into a training drill.

Because we can't be certain they are a write off yet, and if we sack him now that means the decision to hire him was a mistake, which leaves us looking as big of a basket case as we probably are.

 

In that circumstance; who in their right mind, that's any good, is waiting in the wings to take us on?

 

Bar a handful of mercenaries that would only be here for the quick fortune they'll get in severance...
