LCFC v Everton, 21/09/2024

Recommended Posts

It's still early days but this game is massive. Lose and we'll likely find ourselves in the relgation zone with a pummeling at Arsenal to come. Win and we'll give ourselves a cushion and the game against Arsenal will be a free hit.

I am concerned that Cooper lacks the tactical nouse to be a successful coach at this level, but at the very least he must pick a more attacking team and adopt a positive approach at home against the worst team in the division at present. Anything less and the knives will be out.

I wish Cooper would stop talking about that Mateta goal and just focus on this weekend.

One of the biggest games of our season coming up.

it's turned half our fans into mad conspiracy theorists about how the PL is hiring referees to rig games to apply a points deduction so not surprising a manager who has the same level of coaching ability as the average fan is also on the same train

Ideally Everton lead 1-0 at half time. Dyche instructs his players not to leave their box and Cooper is forced to go attacking. Couple of late goals to ensure that there's not enough time for Cooper to hit the self-destruct button.

This has become an early ‘must win’ for both sides, but a draw seems more likely. They’ve clearly not started well but shouldn’t be underestimated either, can’t really imagine ourselves leading by two at Villa with Cooper’s tactics so far. That first win is even more important with Arsenal away after this one.

A draw will not be enough for the fans to begin to believe in Cooper.

We went down last time because (well apart from the facts we had a shithead as manager, a coward as owner, an inept board and a squad who were an utter disgrace) we didn’t win enough of our key games at home. The KP stopped being a fortress. This is a must win.

Darren England is the referee.

Not sure what his record with Leicester is like.

He is the guy who sent Fatawu off in the game against Cov last season.

Tells you all you need to know how this is going to go.
