Foxes Trust - Special General Meeting request

Recommended Posts

Great work. Hopefully all those moaning at the trust on here are signed up ready to vote for change.

If people aren't already members and want to sign up to vote in the SGM, when would the deadline be seeing as all the new memberships are processed manually (lol)?

Sure they'll be processed in the next 29 days...

Yesterday, a request for a Special General Meeting, signed by the required number of current Foxes Trust members, was submitted to the Foxes Trust via email and in the post.

As part of this request, a resolution to change the Foxes Trust board was included. The Trust now have 28 days to call the Special General Meeting which will present an opportunity to change the leadership of the Trust.

Those who have followed our campaign over the past six months will know that we have been pushing for the Trust to become more effective - one which works on behalf of Leicester City supporters and can hold the club to account (critical given some of the astonishing decisions the club have taken recently).

After many discussions, we have become frustrated at the lack of change we have seen and at the current board’s resistance to fresh impetus at board level. A Special General Meeting presents a democratic way to achieve that change and freshen up the current board.

So what happens now?

If you are a current Foxes Trust member, you will have the opportunity to vote for change. We will be fielding a slate of candidates in upcoming elections and hope you will show your support democratically. Please encourage friends and family who are not current members to join as well.

If you are not a current Foxes Trust member, you can join the Trust to have your vote. Now is the time that you can actually have a say in who makes the decisions in your Supporters Trust and how you want it to work on your behalf. This is the opportunity to be part of creating a strong Trust so please make the most of that opportunity and come with us.

The Trust are yet to acknowledge the request, but we will be providing regular updates in the coming days and weeks. Watch this space….

It’s taken some time, but a new Foxes Trust is imminent!

Do you need members to attend the meeting or is this something the Trust will have to email out and collect votes?

Looking forward to voting for the FTR slate and against whoever wrote this match report.  https://foxestrust.co.uk/11131/why-the-knives-are-already-out-for-cooper

It’s time for board members who will be more welcoming to the wider base of supporters.

"It would be extremely harsh to lay the blame for them at the door of a manager who has been in charge for just a handful of games to date.  Yet that is precisely what many of Cooper’s vitriolic online critics seek to do.

"Although many fans, this writer included, remain sceptical of the current incumbent’s ability to rebuild the side to the levels reached at the start of the decade, there is a venomously hostile element, attached to certain message boards, who take their antipathy towards him much further.

"They make little effort to hide their wishes to see him fail, since they view another relegation as a boost to their attempts to force through a change of ownership at the club, whatever the consequences of such an event may be."

Yep, that's what I want from a match report - a spineless whinge about Foxestalk. Doesn't that just sum up the pitiful state of the Trust under these inepts and plodders. Not long now...

Definitely sand in the vagina there.

Scratch & spit ladies.

Nothing like an election for popcorn.

In fairness, the match report did say:

The views expressed in this report are the opinions of the Trust member nominated to file the report only and do not represent the views of the Foxes Trust organisation

They're not speaking for the organisation, any more than any of us here are speaking on behalf of anyone.

<<< Edited to say:   I did a match report for the Foxes Trust many years ago.   And it really was just my bizarre rantings about the match, and the fun I'd had getting to the match.   I seriously wasn't representing the views of the Foxes Trust!   >>>

Maybe so but simply people don’t take that in; it’s the nature of the world. Particularly when it’s a quick click on Twitter etc.

It’s a serious own goal they keep doing - 2nd in a season where somethings been published in their website which alienates and splits fans
