I wouldn’t sack him but tell him that the plan is to clear out as much of the squad as possible over the next two years and bring through the youth and in a few loans.

li’m fairly sure he walks when he is told that.

I’m all about the 26-27 season

We’re not even getting into positions where we can have shots. 19 out of 20 teams can do that. He’s not good enough and the risk is too much.

Only Vardy and 2_reserve keepers out of contract do you really expect any other club to want Vesty Faes Ayew Daka etc they will all be here next season

Faes book value is low he'll be gone. Dakas wages will mean he'll be here I'm sure

He’s dogshite, but Top still thinks we are staying up the clueless clown lol I genuinely cannot wish for the day the club is sold.

We’ll also release others and cut the internal staff I’d imagine.

Vardy has been brilliant for us, however unfortunately his wages stifle us these days. We don’t get the return for what his wages are. Then again, that goes for so many of the squad.

We’ll move on the likes of Ndidi, Kristiansen, El Khannous, Hermansen, Okoli, Ricardo, Faes, Choudhury, Winks, Coady for a fraction of the value they would have potentially worth at one point.

We might con someone into buying Daka and Skipp.

I’d imagine Soumare goes off on loan again.

I can see us being stuck with Reid, Vestergaard and Ayew.

We all know these players can play significantly better than they have done this season. They’ve just downed tools for the umpteenth time and it looks like Top wants to persist with embarrassing them at his expenses.

How can we release others they are all on big contracts

I don't think he can stay in post.

He is not a better option than us bringing someone else in early in the summer as the simple fact is that we'll be starting the season with zero confidence. We lose the first game and that's it he'll be hounded out. We'll inevitably keep him on for a dozen games, get rid and then the new manager 'not having his own players'.

We need to start a fresh, at the very least to cut the new guy some slack at the very start of the season.

This, but also I think we need to go back to basics on football as well.

First team squad and manager needs gutting, but the usual question is that are Rudkin and Top capable.

Making Steve Cooper look an elite manager. That takes some doing

Wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry at that,

I make that 14 losses, 2 wins and 1 draw in the Premier league under RVN? I think 40 goals conceded and 9 scored?

In what world does a manager with those stats and no previous pedigree keep his job? Its gone beyond laughable now, it's simply embarrassing.

The world of Top, Rudkin and LCFC

Was it me or was he smiling through his post match interview

where he cheerfully says we were 2-0 down at half time and it could have been more

and delusionally says we controlled the second half and at one point we nearly passed the ball into the box

I assume he will be gone the day after relegation is officially confirmed. There must be a clause that allows for this in his contract. That can be the only reason he is apparently under no pressure and does not show as he knows his nightmare reign is nearly at end. Such a strange period where he is performing terribly but everyone else is pretty apathetic about it.

We are already relegated.  No way we catch wolves.  We are unlikely to get 20pts

Of course we are gone but I imagine from a legal standpoint any release clause/lower compensation figure will only occur once it is official.

You would think (hope) so. With our DoF sorting contracts though, who knows.

I don't expect they have such a clause.  Didn't rvn already say he was looking fwd to earning his wages managing in the championship?

Our promotion back to the pl meant many people thought we'd be fine... but our squad is not pl level (unlike the squad who got us relegated)...

Even after we added cast offs from palace and fulham.

Top gambled the future by splashing money for rodgers who then failed... Top failed to sack rodgers when it was obvious we were in trouble (Sept 22).  Top allowed rudkin to pay wages that meant players cannot be shifted.  Buying skip remains baffling.

Frankly I don't think klopp would have kept this squad up.

I have no idea if rvn is any good. (Though playing ward, falling out with okoli and playing defensively in winnable ganes makes me wonder)

Are you confident that the clowns who negotiate contracts at our club would have included such a clause?

I'm afraid I'm not, they have made bad errors every time there was a contract negotiation so his is probably no different.

The club is at least consistent - indescribable, appallingly bad on and off the pitch!

Until last night I was holding the belief as we clearly can't afford to sack him we just wait it out. I've reached the point where I think he just needs to go. He's damaging the club and his own reputation by staying.

It will be a long time, if ever before a side gets as low as this again. The lack of goals or threat, the porous defence in every combination and formation, the complete lack of belief in anyone in the squad.

As it stands he won't get another PL job. If this continues for the next few games he won't get ANY job and he must know that.
