Stuck with him on the books until 1st July then

Just stick him on gardening leave and let be BBM and McSweeney be caretakers for the rest of the season

that would be far too intelligent to do

id like to go to a few matches before the season ends but hearing RVN could still be in charge could change that

hate him even more

What this says to me, is this is the starting point for discussing his departure, this is posturing by both parties to try and secure the best outcome, we will want to pay out the minimum amount possible and Ruud will want to walk away with some sort of deal, he clearly wants out and the club want him gone but they will no doubt meet somewhere in the middle.

I think it’s highly likely he leaves within next few days

We absolutely shouldn’t, he’s shown nothing to suggest he can be a competent manager here.

Imagine having a situation where everyone knows the Manager will not be here next season, still having to run the team, do the tactics etc. He won't be arsed, the players wont be arsed. Why not just not turn up to the games and forfeit, just seems such a pointless exercise. Can we not make him take the U21's and just leave Rouwelaar, King and Murphy take the team.

Not surprised that he wants compo to leave. Any of us would do the same if we were in his shoes. The club gave him the contract and they need to buy him out of it if they want him out.

Would honestly love us to just throw some academy players in the mix now and give them a chance to show if they’re capable of making the step up to the first team for next season. We literally have nothing to lose.

This is where  regulator would come in handy.

As it stands managers wouldn’t sign if the contract did them out of compensation. However, I can’t think of another industry where an employee can do an awful job yet get paid handsomely to get sacked.

There should be a performance related clause written in as standard and I don’t think that hiring and firing should count within PSR. The whole set up is horrendous.

Looking like Wolves will be his last match, id imagine Kingy in charge for Southampton at home with the hope we can end with a win or two from final 4 games and boost the mood around the place.

Hahaha fair to RVN, saw us coming and will take what is his. Another classic decision from our truly disgusting club.

We are relegated, stuck with a manger that doesn’t want to be here nor do we want him to be.

We can blame no one at all apart from ourselves. Miss out on possible other targets and a chance to start the clear out and rebuild. Instead stand still stagnating for a couple of months just literally doing nothing. Truly a disgrace.

horrible, ****ing horrible!!!

The club aren't going to play youth prospects.

Everyone's just counting down the games until this ****ing shit is finally over. RvN is basically a caretaker himself at this point. Nobody in that dressing room bar a handful will give two ****s.

His career in England is finished though. No way he recovers from this. He'll swan back off to the Netherlands and end up as a mid-table manager there.

It is clear Ruud doesn’t want to be here, I also imagine the club want him gone and for there to be fresh start next season, I think the meeting with the club will be to agree a compensation deal and structure of his pay off to minimise PSR implications.

I would be shocked if he still here in 7 days time, given the noise in and around the media the mood music which will be coming from sources on both sides are suggesting a parting of the ways.

Imagine having to turn up for training tomorrow when a club legend has described your tenure as a 'shit show' on social media lol

Can’t they just place him on gardening leave? And then negotiate a mutual agreement in the summer?

Knowing the clowns in charge they probably still think he's the right man for the job

Who wrote the contract and omitted the part where it should have said "If we get relegated, your severance package is £0" (or four weeks pay or whatever)?

This football club is becoming an absolute sketch show.

It's all about trying to get the best financial deal.

The club wants to avoid paying out, so trot out the line, we can't afford it.

RVN doesn't want to be here but wants to be paid to go.

Let the negotiations begin.

We're the blueprint of how not to run a football club

Normally I’d agree, but 9 ****ing home games without even a sniff of a goal is beyond shocking!
No manager at any level should keep their job with that kind of record.

Its not even like he’s been really unlucky either it’s been just pure and utter shitness and just when you think it can’t get any worse it does, week by week is just worse and worse!
It’s horrendous and he simply has to go or we go down and down again

The most hilarious thing is that people think the Barry Murphy and whatever other muppets part of his coaching team should stay, they are all complicit and 'his' team so the lot should go.

Then they can bring in a fresh clown with new ideas like Mr Martin.

Pointless discussion until the willy pullers at the top are gone, which they wont be. Whoever is here is operating in a ****ed up environment with a bunch of clueless clowns.
