Foreign clubs will look at Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiensen and Soumare.

We might have some lower end EPL/ promoted clubs look at Ndidi, BDCR and Ayew.

Coady, Winks and Daka will be the ones we struggle with most.

The problem with someone like Soumare is that he's only succeeded in France, and most Ligue 1 clubs are too skint for his wages.

Faes and Vestergaard get enough action for their nations that someone in Europe will be interested - perhaps Serie A or Bundesliga. Kristiansen was quite well-liked in Italy, so he could join one of them on the flight.

BDCR and Ayew we're stuck with, I'm afraid. Too old, too well paid and no room for improvement. Stick them on the bench and run the contracts down. Same goes for Coady.

Agree with you on Ndidi. I could see Sheffield United winding up with either Ndidi or Choudhury if they go up, possibly the latter. Ndidi is someone I could see somewhere like Palace.

Daka and Winks are on too high wages to sell, but Winks was good at Championship level last time. Daka's pace will always be an attribute, but he has the technical ability of a bollard. Whether a manager could harness his pace and somehow salvage his confirmed remains to be seen.

Sell what we can make sure this is our front 3 behind a new striker and we will be fine.

Mavididi BEK Fatawu

we need a manager who goes out all attack instead of this tippy tappy nonsense.

Ayew and BDR could be useful at championship level, provided they have the right attitude, but that comes, with the manager!

This has stopped us from offloading those who haven’t succeeded here for years. We over pay in wages, in some cases massively.

I read Soumare was on £15-20k a week at Lille, and comes in here straight on £60-70k plus. Idiotic and sickening. I get that if a few clubs are interested that bumps the cost up, but surely it gets to the point where you need to walk away.

I certainly wouldn't have them starting, but I could see them having some utility if we're looking for a goal with 20 to go.

People forgetting how shit the championship is, get the right manager is the key.

Totally agree, I’d Personally try and go for Henrik Rydstrom or Kjetil Knutsen. I thought for months now it will be Martin and after seeing Percy tweet it scares me!

It is shit, but the relentless nature of it means if you approach it in the wrong way, you’re as ****ed a Paris Hilton’s snatch.

The Championship is so poor that you don't even need a good manager to get promoted. Even numpties like Farke, Parker, Wilder and Martin can get sides promoted out of the Championship.

We need a proper reset, thats for sure. Unfortunately, its hard to see it being possible to shift even half of what we need to. As much as I'd want us to bounce straight back up (and we might need to, financially) we'll never make up the ground on the PL sides unless we get our foundations right. Purely in terms of the football and ignoring whats happening off the pitch, I'd rather we have a mid-table season in the EFL with a playoff push whilst we consolidate and set ourselves up properly, then have a proper go of it in 26/27. Get as many of the promising academy players integrated in the squad and let them develop with the club, rather than in spite of it.

We'd need a few (cheap) additions to this, obviously, but I think as it is - with the right manager - this has just enough potential for a mid-table season.

GK: Stolarcyzk, Young

DEF: Nelson, Coady*, Okoli, Souttar, Ricardo, Wormleighton, Coulibaly, Thomas, Justin, Wormleighton

MID: Choudhury (C), Alves, Braybrooke, Cartwright, Skipp*, Golding

FW: Fatawu, Mavididi, Evans, Monga, Daka, Opoku

*Only included because we can't get rid...

I'd give Choudhury the captaincy, which might be a controversial one. But he's one of our own, more experienced than most of that squad and - crucially - he actually seems to give full effort consistently. Ricardo would be my VC. Striker looks a concerning position, and midfield is VERY light but one of Soumare/Ndidi/Winks will probably end up sticking around to give us a bit more. Ricardo to go back to his CM-hybrid role?

Can't see BEK hanging around - he's clearly better than us. Mads, too, although he may not fetch as much as we want for him. The rest... if they don't want to agree deals elsewhere then stick 'em on gardening leave. It's better than the net negative impact of having them around the playing squad.

As for the manager... now that relegation is confirmed get Ruud well away from this squad - gardening leave til the end of the season and then sacked. King can take over as caretaker in the meantime and do a proper recruitment this time around, not just let ourselves get wowed by the first Cooper-like applicant who comes in with a powerpoint.

I think we need to get someone who can be good enough to hang around for 3 or 4 years someone who can build us as a club.

We have had 5 manager in 2.5 seasons.

What's the situation with potentially losing points? Sheff United's lost points has proved costly ultimately for automatics.

Not really. It was only two points, they were top a couple of weeks back and lost 3 on the bounce to Oxford, Millwall and Plymouth before they beat Cardiff so I suspect their fans will be thinking they have chucked it away more so than being done out of promotion.

The relegation is obviously horrific and definitely the worst thing to happen this season; but if we can’t sign anyone at all and/or get a massive points deduction next season will be just as bad.

I badly want it all cleared up by the club what our situation is going to be or likely to be

Some guaranteed good days out.

QPR, Sheff Weds, West Brom and Norwich all very good.

In a worse position this time than last financially I'd have thought. Last time we sold Madders and Barnes for a cut price 80/85million didn't we?

Surely we won't get anywhere near that this time. Hermansen and Bilal could fetch 45million between the two of them.

After that, we could offload bouba, hamza, wilf, Winks, faes, victor for small fees in the region of 20-25m collectively. The only shining light being a load of money off the wage bill

I don't see much being put up for permanent transfers. Loans with an option is where we will be shopping

Birmingham are coming up from League One with one of the best records ever (maybe even the best ever), and then it's a pick from

Wrexham

Wycombe

Charlton Athletic

Stockport County

fighting for the second and thus last automatic promotion spot.

Plus:

Leyton Orient
Reading FC

Just watching the Burnley v Sheffield u game on itv1 and it's awful quality. The 3 promoted teams have no chance  of staying up. We must surely get back up first time.

The only downside to doing well in the Chamionship, is you end up in the Premier League. 17 teams now all with 3+ years of PL money behind them, able to paper over any cracks they find in the January window

Wolves, Spurs, Utd, Everton and West Ham all still streets ahead of anyone coming up or going down.

Something has got to give.

Players I want in the squad next season:

Stolarczyk

Ricardo

Nelson

Okoli

Thomas

Coulibaly

Skipp (ridiculous signing but he’s more than good enough at this level)

Winks (50/50 on but again good at this level)

Alves

Mavididi

Fatawu

Mcateer ( I know he splits opinion and deffo isn’t Prem quality but you need guys who’ll run and run)

Striker has to be a priority this summer too.

We need to fill the squad out with academy lads next season. We’ll be playing potentially 50+ games. There’s so many opportunities to promote these guys

Anyone not mentioned I’m happy to go. This definitely isn’t realistic but just what I want to see.
