tbf I imagine it's much easier if you're playing with winnings like Turtle is. I have no idea if he is or not but it seems he started with a normal enough stake and has been winning £600/700 a time, banking £500 or whatever and using the rest to get more winnings. Seems pretty sensible, especially on a run.

I'd imagine if he lost like 2 in a row he'd be back down to £20 stakes or something like the rest of us haha. Gotta make the most of it when your lucks in, just like Brenfox did turning a free fiver into a grand!

Too right about riding your luck, it never seems to be there too long. I'm not criticising anyone that bets what I would class as large amounts, just saying that isn't my idea of fun and fair play for having the bollocks to do so.

most I lost was £50 on a double like 18 months ago. wolves/reading. it'd won 2 weeks in a row @ like 3/1 both times, was about 5/2 third time lucky, wolves won and reading conceded a 95th min penalty at home to mill. nearly broke the tele when I heard jeff screaming about late drama at the mad stad on soccer saturday.

Yeah, completely this. Best run I've ever had, but I know it will end soon.

Tomorrows bet for me...

Shrewsbury

Preston

Derby

Bournemouth

Same here, most I've lost on one bet is 35 quid and I felt shit for days

First day of the season I put £50 on Arsenal -1 at home to palace ended 2-1 I was inconsolable.

I put £90 on Celtic earlier this season, which was the combination of winning a few bets starting from £5.

I just thought naah why not, theyre 1/8 vs Ross County, thatll boost it and ill withdraw £100+

When it finished 0-0, I wanted to die.

Glad it's not just me...

Again looks pretty solid, hope your luck carries on man!

Yeah I see people all the time who are £10 accas a week kinda guys but for a few days after a £500 win or something they'll have a few £50 trebles with the profit. If you win you're suddenly in huge profit (like you atm!) but if you lose you've still gotta look at it as still being in decent profit from your original £10 stake kinda thing.

As long as you've got the money to lose no matter how big or small it is then that's sound imo. People dipping into overdrafts, rent money, wife's account etc is when you're up shit creek.

I've seen a few things at evens, where I've been tempted to whack a few hundred down, but I don't think I will. Sunderland at evens to go down, same odds for Hull I think too. I think ive more than likely had enough luck for now, happy to drop back to £25 stakes soon enough. Pocketed £2500 with a wedding in August - perfect timing

I also had a time when i was at the Grosvenor in New Brighton about 5 years ago, id gone into the casino with a bankroll of £80, to bet martingales and cover 5 losing spins on the roulette wheel.

I wasnt in there long. Thought it was easy to be honest. Id made about £30 and was feeling good, only ever needing 2 spins to pick up a fiver each time.

Then i was spinning again. Black. £5 outside bet and lost. No drama. £10 down. Red again. This is mildly annoying. £20 down. Red. Ok this is coming next spin. £40. Red. Full blown panic setting in to the point of feeling sick.....Should i bail ant accept the loss and take out 35, or chuck £80 down and take another spin.

Lord knows what i was doing. Cut your loss you idiot. Stuck a fifth spin down, and it came in.

Ive never done anything so daft in my life, the relief was so much i was actually sweating, I went straight to the cashier, took the £35 profit and walked out. Sat outside looking at the sea next to the Chimi Changa restaurant until i calmed down.

Ruined my own night even though i won.

Big call. Hope you are successful, good win tonight.

Cheers mate. Yeah it is but even if it doesn't win I've not really lost a great deal thanks to tonight. Potentially £36 up as well if they win and I think they will. They love a big occasion. The atmosphere will be something else.

I'd be amazed if Hull stay up, but reckon there's still some twists an turns to go. I've got £20 on us to stay up @ 2/1 but other than that don't think I'd want to get massively involved in the relegation markets, purely cos I think sentiment is clouding my judgement a bit haha. Think if we were having this chat on a Hull forum as Hull fans we'd be saying "Leicester, evens?! Pile on that!"

Can't think of any time that wouldn't be pretty perfect to win a few grand like lol

Totally agree. My Mum won't listen. I've got mine under total control and haven't lost any money that I would consider to be important.

I only staked £15 on Atletico because I won tonight and trust me £15 is a lot for me to put on. She goes arsey that I put on a fiver lol

lol yeah my nan always has a go at me. I got pissed off the other day cos I was losing crap bets, not cos I was losing money I couldn't afford. So closed a few accounts.

I'll still bet but it'll mean that I'll have to actually want to bet to make a trip to the shop so will have had my eye on something for a bit or studied it properly. Much better than just betting cos it's easy, £20 on the next fav in the next horse race without even thinking etc. hopefully get a few more winners now, too!

I like to research mine although that just pisses me off even more when it inevitably misses by one. So often am I on the end of abnormal results it's unreal. Glad tonight was different though. It's so hard in my opinion to win a bet with more than even just four teams nowadays as there so many weird results.

My Mum has a go at me over it and she uses these stupid quotes against me which I made a couple of years ago when I had no money, they were that I'd never have an online account and that I'd never bet over £2. 2015 and I'm sat here throwing £15 on a 2/1 on Betfair online lol betting with small money's OK for a bit of a game I think (although you have to put a run together to make it at all worthwhile) but bigger stakes and less teams are the way forward. Or just stealing what Turtles Head does every day.

I've never lost a penny on betting that I felt absolutely sick to do so. The manner of the way I lose annoys me more than the money itself because I don't tend to really put that much down. I can promise anyone on here there's no way I'll be paying debts to anyone over my betting. I do it a lot but it's well under control.

One for tomorrow

Bournemouth

Derby

Juve

Also might have a bit on Atletico

Don't know if I dare go near them after Saturday. How the complete and utter **** did they lose to Parma?
