Anyone got any tips on how to make £100 in 5 weeks?

If you play poker cash games taking 20 quid to the table and just play ridiculously tight you can fairly easily make about 50 quid a day on average as long as you aren't a complete mug. You have to be willing to sit there patiently all day though.

Just not true at all...if your bankroll is £20 then the level you would be playing at should be ridiculously low.Plus if he gets KK pre flop and goes up against another hand and loses its over, then what? Everyone would be doing this if it was that easy.

Lamby - I worry for you mate, I really do. There is no easy way to cheat life and get money, go get a job or at very least change your mentality or you are going to end up in a very bad spot.

Had £1.50 on this...

  • Atletico Madrid v Levante (Won)|Atlético Madrid| @ 3/10
  • Bordeaux v Paris St Germain (0-1 at half time)|Paris Saint-Germain| @ 6/5
  • Valencia v Real Madrid (0-5 at half time lol )|Real Madrid| @ 19/20

Come on PSG....

Put a quid on PSG draw @4/1 to cover my bet.

Big stakes-small stakes... its all about the profit :D

Obviously you aren't going to win every time that why I said 'on average'. If you play tight and consistently make the 'right' decisions you can turn a regular profit. Not everyone does it because it is boring as ****.

I've never learned to play Poker, it's just a deck of cards and a table to me

Why £100 in 5 weeks? A full time job on minimum wage at 40 hours per week would pay around £850? After tax... On only four weeks!

A part time job would pay around £170 in four weeks at 16 hours pw?

Such an odd figure and timescale to ask for. This leads me to believe Lamby is a WUM

If you can't get hold of £100 in 5 weeks how are you gonna pay for the rest of the trip?

And as Ashley says, do £5 or £10 doubles of "sure things" maybe at odds of around 3/1 or 4/1? That £5 can soon turn into £20, bank the £15 and use your £5 again? If you lose that £5 raid your £15 kitty your still £10 in profit and it may go further

My personal input is if you have a set amount you need in that time, stay away from gambling. If you can't afford to lose the money (or not have that £100 in future) just don't do it.

I like gambling and I do ok, I'd say over a month I'm always in profit, but that does take some actual work/study, especially on horses (which is what I bet on most).

Honestly if you just place 12 team football accumulators with very little research, you are throwing your money away.

Even with the best will in the world, loads of insight and research and a cracking selection, anything can happen.

I'd advise don't go to Charlton for a few weeks, don't go out drinking, think of free things to do to enjoy yourself. If you REALLY want to go to Canada, you'll have to make sacrifices.

If Wolverhampton goes ahead, I quite fancy JUSTCALLMEHANDSOME to run in to a place. Grabbed 16/1 earlier. E/W bet.

Any thoughts?

Just seen this as low as 8/1 in places now. I'd probably keep away from it at that sort of price. Looked value at 16s.

Must have seen some money for it or perhaps a few n/r declared.

This looks a job horse to me pal, the money will come for it and then probably drift as the owner looks to make a guaranteed profit. I've seen this a lot this winter on the AW. 16s is a great price though mate. Good work. Hope it wins for you.

Not heard the term 'job horse' before mate, but know the strategy well.

I'll try to lay at lower odds on betfair.

Bet365 have really upset me with that nonsense yesterday mate, stood to make a packet and they fobbed me off. Who do you use?

Sorry to hear that pal, i'd read on GG that they had done everyone over. Ridiculous, that'll lose them a lot of custom. They are getting like casinos though, " house always wins " because they make it unfair if mistakes are ever made. Do punters get such reprieves for mistakes? No they don't, I won't use Bet365 again out of principle.

I use various pal, usually Paddy Power, Betfair and recently started using Boylesports.

Lamby. My advice and how I started.

Have a 'bankroll'. Start with an amount you are okay to lose/should you lose.

Start with say £20.00 bet 5%/10% of your balance so say £1.00 or £2.00 stakes. Build wins that way and no don't do your stupid accumulators. When and IF you win continue with the 5/10% stake. You will gradually build up your balance but then again you need to be disciplined when staking.

There are a few good tipsters within this thread. Good luck.

Just looking at that horse, it's drifting out. I'll keep an eye on it. Looking sweet at 16's, but get out whilst you can in my opinion as there's a fair few in that race that I couldn't put a pin between.

I successfully laid my bet off and will make a couple of quid if it wins or loses.

Pullmen is a steamer 33/1 in to 5/1,

Runs at 5.05 at Wolves.

I don't think it looks any good at 5/1 but its had a hell of a lot of money.

I know some people back steamers, so there you go, I'm just pointing it out.

For arbers - I reckon this will drift back out before the odds, so might be worth laying at 5s and trying to get on later at closer to 10s.

Good luck whatever.
