Sweet jesus, the thought of putting on a £1000 stake would probably cause me to pass out.

A grand on a 5 team acca? where a late goal or dodgy referee in one game screws the other 4? Mental

£4; Man Utd, Galatasaray, Bayern, Real Madrid, PSG.

Leaving me with £5 in my Bet365 account, it's closing, slowly.

I'm back in the game with this account!

Not the hugest of wins but a decent win and means that account will be open for a while longer.

Operation 'win a bet before christmas' commences. I stuck £2 on the Spurs/Fiorentina -3 double, both 5/1 so no idea what that works out as (always used to think it would be 25/1 but apparently not the case?).

Also bizarrely had £4 on those two plus Swansea & Lyon. Returns a pitiful £13 but that has SURELY got to come in.

You've basically got £12 going on a 5/1 shot.

£2 on spurs -3 @ 5/1 would return £12. That £12 then goes on the Fiorentina -3 @ 5/1. Which should pay £72.

Understand it now. So if I'd put a pound on, it wouldn't actually be £36? It'd be £1 on 5/1 which returns £6, which goes on another 5/1 which is £30?

But you get your £6 back as well mate which would equal £36. 6x5+6 = £36.

This is why decimal odds are much easier, you just times your stake by the odds (or by all the odds).

5/1 = 6.0 in decimals

So £2 x 6 x 6 = £72. Easy.

That's just down to opinion. I much prefer fractions rather than decimals.
