Madness. I'll gladly watch something 'edgy' that pushes boundaries but fook me, some boundaries are where they are for a reason.

This film just sounds crazy, I'm assuming it didn't make it into the cinemas?

I watched Leon last night. I never saw it when it was out, but I remember folk raving about it.

I thought it was ridiculous and clunky

Leon is a brilliant film, Gary Oldman is superb in it.

That was really the problem - nobody 'got' it at the time and im not convinced it even made it over here. With the benefit of the internet and hindsight its only recently been gotten people raving considering the finale aired in 2006,

Definately give it another chance its excellent.

Im suprised Filbert Way hasn't piled in on this yet!

STEVE HOLT!

It used to be on BBC2 an Sundays after MOTD2 man. Ridiculously shit slot for such a brilliant show.

It is intelligent, I've lost count of the amount of times I've watched the three series through on DVD, but there's always a little touch, expression, line or joke that I've never noticed before. It's not just me that thinks it's the best American show ever made, let alone comedy. Everyone is cast so perfectly, Michael Cera, Will Arnett and David Corss still have me pissing myself with laughter at times.

A Serbian Film is actually quite a good, clever film, yes the baby rape or "newborn porn" as it is referred to in the film, is unnecessary, but it's not a bad watch.

Try these

Don't give up on the Wire, seasons three and four are absolutely fucking brilliant theatre. You'll know in the first two or three episodes of season two whether you'll like it or not, to be honest. It's "good" by the standards of most television but it's the weakest in the Wire boxed set in my opinion - I didn't like Sobotka or the stevedore storyline at all really.

I pretty much concur with this. I don't think Season 2 is bad, it's just that the slightly slower pace of it means it's less exciting than the first. I agree that seasons 3 and 4 are the best. 4 in particular is as good as telly gets, I reckon

Leon is ****ing top tier.

That scene at Leon's front door is a frick'n masterpiece.

Have you super dudes watched it recently? I only ask because the missus has been badgering me to watch it for ages, and she admitted when we watched it that it wasn't half as good as she remembered it being.

I suspect it hasn't aged that well

Have you ever met Lisa off Foxes Talk?

If you have, I've got two words: Beadie Russell. It CAN'T just be me that sees this.

Just seen True Grit at the cinema. Thought it was very good. Jeff Bridges acting was brilliant, as was the young girl in it.

Highly recommended.

Saw True Grit tonight, besides the immense arse ache I'd received by the end, it was a bloody good watch. As MikeyT said previously, the girl in it was top notch, made her character (who's meant to be 14 I think) sound about 30 with some of the stuff she comes out with. Some great scenes in it and it's shot really well, proper Western style like.

Highly reccomend it.

'Thirded'. Always enjoy Jeff Bridges even if he has had some awful roles in the past. You know when the Coen's make a movie that it's going to keep a pretty high standard at worst and True Grit just flies by. Love how they kept the Western style intact while adding some trademark brilliant Coen-stuff. Bridges, Damon and that young Hailee Steinfeld all excellent.

Oh, Le Finn is on a winner here..

Spooky resemblance.

I noticed it when she first pulled up in the car with her headphones on and said something to Frank Sobotka, I think it was her first appearance. I had to double take for a moment because he was blatantly Lisa. Then I went to google a picture to post and go "look! Look!" but I couldn't find one that proved my point enough. You have to watch it to see it.

It's not just me I swear.

Don't worry, it's not just you, I've posted about this before.

We were in sixth form at the same time (she was a year above me though). Lisa I mean, not Beadie Russell

Just watched this. Wasn't great. Thought Depp and Jolie were very, very average. Plus they both looked bad as well. Jolie looked like a walking skeleton and Depp a bit plastified and chubby. Anyhoo, worth a watch if you are utterly bored and have 1hr 45mins to kill.
