Iron Lady last night- It was disappointing, I hoped to learn something about her regime only to get a hour and half of Thatcher hallucinating about her dead husband.

I thought it was ok, could have glorified her a bit more in my opinion but ah well.

I'm going to watch Saving Private Ryan again tonight, I love that film. The war scenes are probably some of the best ever created.

Agreed. The best war film Ive seen by a country mile.

On a similar note, managed to cross Schindler's List off Kitchandro's list tonight, very good. I thought it might be too downbeat and depressing to keep my attention but it was very well done, great performances from the leading actors.

Crossed another two off as well over the last couple of days:

The Good the Bad and the Ugly - Like A Fistful of Dollars, it's ok for what it is: a shallow, outdated western. They just aren't my kind of thing generally, there's no character development, the acting isn't much good, the fight scenes are a bit ridiculous and I'm not really sure why I'm supposed to care about what happens. It should have been an hour shorter.

Forrest Gump - Enjoyed it, emotional but very funny in places. Tom Hanks is one of the great actors, so versatile.

Skyfall is absolutely brilliant, just finished watching it.

Daniel Craig is by far my favourite James Bond, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall have been all on the money.

Daniel Craig is joint top with Sean Connery for best 007, for me Craig plays Bond more down to earth and less a super hero. He seems to make Bond look like he can die anytime and unlike previous bond films you do fear for his life, don't get me wrong i loved the Connery, Moore and Brosnan's films but at times you knew they we're going to survive. Dalton played Bond way too dark for and at times I forgot he was suppose to bee 007 even though you could argue that Dalton's performance was the closet it to the Bond novels but was it good enough for the big screen, I feel Craig as managed to build a bridge between the two.

As if they would kill him off! lol Use your common sense. There is no chance of Bond being killed off.

He does play him more down to earth, that's the problem. The new ones are taken way too seriously, he takes himself too seriously.

Watched Life of Pi recently. I thought it was a bit rubbish.

Tried to watch the Hobbit but despite loving the book, just couldn't get on with it at all.

I've got that on disc to watch but I really don't fancy it. I've also got Company of Heroes which I'm told is good but I've never heard of it.
