Let's have a films thread.

Finally watched 'Little Miss Sunshine' after irritating indie types had been going on at me for ages to watch it. Thought it was supposed to be good.

The Big Lebowski is on tele tonight although dubbed into Bulgarian, somewhat losing a lot of the subtle brilliance.

Casino is a great film, Pesci is brilliant and De Niro.

Just reading these comments and apparently there is a movie coming out called The Irishman to be directed by Martin Scorsese which will star Robert De Niro,[1] Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel should be good.

Watched This is The End last night, it was ok at times wouldn't recommend it though

Love Casino! Better than goodfellas IMO! My fav scene is Joe Pesci in the bar when someone irresponsibly leaves a pen lying around!

Saw Captain Phillips last night.

Good performance from Hanks as usual and the film itself was ok. The first half hour-45 minutes were good but then it dragged out far too much without any scope for twists or turns, making it all a bit predictable from some way out. It seemed very similar to a lot of films I've seen before as well.

6.5/10.

High praise! Love all De Niro films. Heat, Goodfellas and Rocky and Bullwinkle, Classics! lol

Goodfellas is number 1 for me

Mean Streets is the best of the lot, and I'm not just saying that in a "look at me I'm so indie" way, it really is perfect.

Since I've been up from 4.50 this morning I decided to do something productive and watch some of the stuff I've Sky+ed.

Really enjoyed this.

There are about 3 of these now... if you like that one, the others should appeal also.
