Jacob's Ladder is one of my weirdest films but I love stuff like that. I also think David Lynch films are amazingly freaky as well as the tv show Twin Peaks that he did.

Or messed up South Korean movies - see "Oldboy", for instance.

OldBoy doesn't even touch Visitor Q. Or the Happiness of the Katakuris, I'm not a Miike fan for the most part, he tends to do weird for the sakes of it. But weird he definitely is.

Wild Zero is pretty boss as far as Asian oddball films go.

The only thing strange about Skycaptain is how they managed to make such a visually stylized film so ****ing bland.

Thought Good Will Hunting was very good. Robin Williams seems to pick good films to appear in.

Good Morning Vietnam

The Dead Poets Society

Good Will Hunting

And the one where he plays a psychopathic serial killer (forget the name)

Any others?

That's why I love Naked Lunch - it messes with your head (in a good way):

I've always wanted to see that film but I forgot about it. Going to check if it's on Amazon now

I can't believe a movie like Johnny English actually got made - it's cringeworthy at best.

It's neither funny nor entertaining. At least John Malkovich adds some much-needed dignity to the picture.

lol what? He's the worst thing in it!

John Malkovic is never the worst thing in anything, don't be ridiculous. Absolute hero. If you don't like Malkovic, you don't deserve cinema.

In other news, sitting listening to some Dylan at work and Most of the Time comes on. Reminded by how brilliant High Fidelity is. Best modern romance film bar none.

Watched a good film the other day.  Kings Of summer, its like stand by me meets Into The Wild.  Bit quirky, very enjoyable.
