Watched Elysium last week. Very average although it looked good.

In fact, this is how most sci fi films are going at the moment, look great but ultimately disappoint. Not seen a decent sci fi for ages.

Any recommendations?

If there was some way of removing the dumb bookshelf stuff from Interstellar I'd say that.

Watched Jurassic World. Trying too hard to fit in the 'funny'. Trying to fit in too many set pieces and losing the threat factor.

Limp characters without depth, I was hoping that more of them perished. Lame ending.

Age of Ultron - meandering plot, weaker than the first, with god awful last third act, again too many set pieces weakened any climax with shitty ending
