Advance Couriers 3 Notts Wmc 2

Notts went 2-0 down to get it back to 2-2 than Advance scored with 5 minutes to go. Gutted but Notts did themselves proud against the best team in sunday morning football.

All guns blazing for the treble now.............

Congrats to Sileby

We had our best performance of the season to grab a 4-4 away at title chasing Willows, we trailed 4-2 with 5 minutes left so excellent spirit shown by us. We hit the woodwork 4 times also :frusty:

Well done Sileby lads. How was the game itself? Piece of piss or closer than 3-0 suggests?

Well done Sparky too, brings back the buzz sometimes when you have a great comeback like that!

Bit of an odd one for us today - 4-1 up just before half time after a great half, their player dislocates his knee or something like that and an ambulance is called. Arrives and he is on his way after about 30 mins. We're ready to play on etc but they decide that they don't want to so the match is abandoned.

4-1 up with everything in place for the game to continue - called off as they don't want to continue - what happens now?

Id like to think that the result would stand but id imagine it will be played again with them fined and having 3 points deducted.

It was a cup game by the way, so perhaps more of a chance of just letting us through in that case?

Ah well, we shall see.

We battered them first 20, went 1-0 up after about 10 i'd say, then it got scrappy second half of the first half. went in at 1-0. came out second half and it was easy to be honest. i'm not saying they're a bad side but they just don't scare you going forward. Nathan Williams is clearly a very good player, so quick as well but they played him left wing back?!?! so he spent probably 70 minutes at left back as our right winger pushed forward. why he isn't up front with that big man i don't know.

was a satisfying victory after they ran their mouths on the forum.

Won 2-1 this week against The Wheel. Close game but just sneaked it in the end, probably just about deserved it as well. One of those games where the team you're playing likes lumping it long and we couldn't get any kind of rhythm going, but to be fair they were quite effective at doing it, lot of 6 footers and caused us a few problems. Joint top now with a massive game against Harrow next week. Already have seven more points and now more goals than all of last season so big effort from all the lads, whom the majority haven't played 11 a-side before last season, me included.

Well done to all the teams through to the Cup finals etc. Hope Sileby win, at least we can say we were beaten by the winners!

  • 2 weeks later...

We lost 5-1 to Trinderbox today, to be honest if we had of took our chances we may have pulled out a shock result! Yours truly bagging a cheeky free kick from the side of the area, they didnt have a man on the front post :P !

Won our quarter final today, finally. 3-0.

Semi next week against the aforementioned Trinderbox.

Walsh UK Vs Ashby Railway, or the Aidy and Nettel show as it will be known from now on, ended in a 4-1 win for the away team. Up to 5th, United Aces next week, happy days.
