Draw on the way.

Anyone starting to fear we are going to go another Championship season without winning a game?

Why declare?

Why indeed? Never going to take 10 wickets in a session plus no Shrek, handed them a chance of winning and they gratefully took it. Tonight is a must win game to stop the run of defeats lose this and the rot will well and truly be set in.

I would like to see-

Cobb

O'Brien

Smith

Styris

Wells

Taylor

Eckersley/Boyce/Thornley

Ireland

Buck

Naik

Wyatt

One solitary win all season. A once proud County really in the doldrums. Really sad to see, and very hard to see how we can reverse this

decline

Spot on. Very sad. Players won't want to stay if their any good, and no one any good will want to come and play for us. Really cannot see a way out of the decline.

Absolutely ridiculous how we lost to Gloucs, when you declare you have to give yourself a chance to win, we had no chance of bowling them out in 39 overs, plus Shreck was injured.

What does a stupid declaration like that do for Robson, Taylor, Buck, Eckersley and Cobb? All performed yet end up losing.

Disappointing yesterday, 10-15 runs short. The season has hit the buffers this past week after a promising start. Must promote Wells up the order in the remaining T20 games.

Also, Sarwan is such a waste with limited resources. Poor captain, struggling with bat, not a T20 player, better not be here next season. Since Sarwan has come into the LVCC side we've struggled, showed good promise earlier. Sarwan ain't half the player he once was.

When you sign overseas players you have to get as much games as you can out of them across all formats. Sarwan can't hack T20, he'll probably do naff all in the 50 over comp to come, and he's only scored one 50 in the Championship this season. Enough said!

Yes, only 15 years ago we'd won 2 championships in three years, getting to cup finals, first division cricket in both forms for five years.

The T20 cup is the only thing keeping the club going during the last decade, and now that seems to be ebbing away.

It's very sad but being realistic, give it 20 years..if that, and I don't think we'll have a first class county side in Leicestershire anymore. There's no money, no decent prospects which we can be hopeful of keeping. I mean some of the players currently playing for the first team are representing Loughborough and Kibworth in the Everards leagues! It's been coming for a while in my opinion.

and we won the toss, Sarwan having a mare, the way they lost to Gloucs was poor, by all means set a target but we were never going to bowl them out in 39 overs without Shrek and no sign there was much in the wicket. Would have liked to have seen Wells given a chance after his fine 20-20 showings.

311 all out sums Leicestershire's last few seasons, awful start, recovery, lose 2 quick wickets, recover then give a wicket away, put on over 100 for the 7th wicket, then let them take the new ball and blow it away. 11-3 up to 311 is good going but some of the wickets we lost were poor, need some wickets before the close.

Greg Smith Form:

Glamorgan: 0 off 2 and 1 off 13

Gloucestershire: 0 off 1 and 10 off 16

Derbyshire: 0 off 1

He's not done too badly in T20 but... that isn't opening batsmen in county cricket form!
