In some ways, no but in others, yes. It's more than likely that we'll finish bottom again. But we have generally been a bit more competitive this season even if results have not always reflected that. We've been able to bowl teams out but our batting is a big problem; just not able to score enough runs. There is also a lack of a winning mentality: a team used to winning would never have lost yesterday, for example. Still, I do have faith in Wasim Khan to sort things; it will take a few seasons to complete the task though.

Some strange comments on RL tonight on the cricket show, the Cheltenham Festival was always Glouicestershires biggest source of income as most of their games they play away from home infront of crowds that make Grace road look busy and the majority of the fan base is in Cheltenham. With their Captain out still plenty to play for but we need a big first session.

Lack of knowledge about Gloucestershire and having been brought up in Cheltenham see Gloucs and Leicester as similar size clubs. The Cheltenham festival always used to be Gloucestershires biggest source of income with Bristol not even in the county and having been out of the county for around 40 years. Just surprised at the lack of knowledge, a cricket festival maybe something the county can look at.

Oh, ok, thanks. County had the Oakham 'festival' for a few years but attendances dwindled for that if I remember correctly, hard to think where else in the County a festival could be held.
