Jarvis’s monthly round up says they’re interviewing for the Director of Cricket role? Was Henderson only an interim or is he quitting/being forced out?

Also basically says it’s inevitable prices will go up next season due to rising day-to-day costs.

seems to be suggestions on Twitter that this is an actual recruitment process as it was done in a dodgy way before.

We need somebody who changes the culture of the club in many ways. And absolutely somebody from the outside of the club.

Nixon needs to go as well though, completely start from scratch

Why would he join us? Northants, with arguably less resources and a smaller fan base are sitting pretty in 5th in the top league.

A win for Derbys as well this week and they are challenging for promotion.

Shows what can be done and why big change is required.

No other team has failed for so long for years in the 4 day game.

Nixon needs to go. Until he does nothing will change.

Yep. We are not going to get any quality in in the current state we find ourselves!

Few Northants fans told me kent were after Sanderson and they thought he would go there.

So it's a result for Northants to keep him as Kent are a decent pull.

What are peoples thoughts on Mulder coming back? If it were in the cards?

Picked up nicely with the bat, I'd rather go for a specialist batsman and a bowler though. But wouldn't be disappointed if Mulder keeps up some decent form with the bat if he came back.

Would he want to?

Can't imagine he enjoys being involved in some of the record setting weve been upto this season.

I mean until recently he wasn't exactly great and carrying the team by himself. Also set a record himself didn't he with Ackermann which is probably quite enjoyable, despite the terrible performances.

Would have him back, batted well in both competitions and bowled ok in the Blast.

I think I'd back him to come good with the red ball too with more time here. With even Wright averaging 43 this season I think we've had some absolute roads which haven't helped anyone's figures or confidence especially when coupled with these soft balls. Not making excuses as we expected more but I think the County Championship in general this season has been a run fest.

Joey Evison has signed a three year deal with Kent, this is on the back of them losing Matt Milnes to Yorkshire. He's available to play for them from now.

Offering unproven cricketers 3 year contracts is mental, as we saw with Rhodes.

The loan deal that saw Evison play a few days for us appears to me to be another example of extremely confused thinking. Why not play someone like Scriven or Welch and see what they can do. No obvious strategy on the playing front. If Henderson has basically had a nine month audition in the Director of Cricket role, I reckon he's failed it. Perhaps the money would be better spent on a batting coach. I had high hopes for Nico when he joined, and there was some progress in the first year, but I can't remember a poorer County Championship season in 50 years. We have never been close to wining a single game, and could easily have lost all of them

Why kent want Everson  I don't know. He is a 75 mph bowler who can just about hold a bat?

Scriven has to.be given game time along with Walker. It's a must over the next few weeks

There seems to be a fair bit of anger towards Nixon, fair enough as far as I'm concerned.

So here's a question, the info below is from a couple of years ago but in any other industry, how would an employee feel if their boss was talking about their ability with some idiot supporter on the other side of the world.

It just smacks of how amateurish we are as a club .

If I was a pro I'd be livid if I found out that my boss was speaking in private to loudmouth gobshites about my batting deficiencies.

I want the bloke gone, but I don't think he comes across that badly. Bit random to reply to you and be so honest, but not as if he's called him s***, sounds as if it's a fairly open constructive criticism.

It's not a message to me, to a 'fan' in Australia. Fair enough, but playing a dangerous game.

I’d be more livid someone had leaked private conversations, no matter if it was five years ago.
