I've been surprised to see Ahmed so high in the order in recent games but clearly he can bat. 

I don't really know how cricket transfers work, but perhaps we have seen a chance to cash in and we're properly shop windowing him.


Horrible as it is we're going to lose him anyway so if the cash helps contribute to a rebuild of 4 or 5 players we need elsewhere it might not be the worst idea to do it whilst he's contracted.

Club's don't get anything  just what's left on the contract.when he plays for England Notts will get the lions share sadly because he came from the Notts academy

Probably paying him pennies aren't we so that'll amount to nothing.

His contract runs until the end of the 2026 season. A lot can of course happen between now and then however if Rehan continues his current progress, he'll be centrally contracted as part of the England set-up and county cricket won't be seeing very much of him anyway, especially as he'll be part of the world's growing T20 circus, not to mention the bloody '100'.

All good points.

 

Interesting to see what happens with him in the Hundred next year.

 

He was a wildcard pick so went to a random area. But really he should be one of Trent Rockets regional picks shouldn't he? Or at least now he's made a bit of a name for himself he should be.
