Let me rewrite...

You'd think given Rahanes profile the club would explain what is happening. Happy with Handscombe. I'd be happier with a few loans coming in ir potential signings coming over earlier.

Seems odd to be relying on blokes you know are leaving in a few weeks. Where is their motivation?

They kind of have to be fair. He was out the India team when announced, now he is Test vice captain.

Their series with the West Indies ends July 27, so presumably he’s available after that, though they probably haven’t said on the off-chance he gets called into the ODI or T20 squads as a late replacement. Should be available for August, I’m guessing.

Ryan Patel would probably play at most counties all the time, currently very stiff competition. I'd be happy with him coming over.

Another big ton for RP in the Surrey 2nds today, 137 leathered off only 161 balls. If that Foxes contract's on its way, send it using First Class post!

Not sure you can take much notice of 2nd team runs. Charlie Thurston scored 2 double centuries  in consecutive  matches for Northants last season but got released and  hasn't  found another County

End of day 2 and we're still well in with a chance of not getting beaten here, it's going well. Wright probably the pick of our players so far, working hard.

Edit: didn't realise there'd be any play today when I posted the above!

Reps from LCFC also involved...

Former reps. The bloke who helped with the move from Filbert St to KP.

What’s the betting this is done before the expansion 😂😂😂😂

Good start today, negligible chance of a result but every bonus point could be vital come end of season

Another gone first ball after lunch. Looked to be sliding down, but we've had some horror decisions this season so we'll take that one.

Needs a change of location rather than being redeveloped.

Unless it's closer to the city centre than Grace Road, any new ground would be a complete white elephant. The city and county just aren't well connected enough for anywhere else to work.

A railway station at the redeveloped KP would be useful for the cricket too. It'd be a 15 minute walk or so if there was access onto Aylestone rd

Probably not quite big enough for what LCCC want to do but you could feasibly have plonked a cricket stadium on the land between Filbert Way and Aylestone Road.
