On the subject of the stream I’m not sure it makes commercial sense to show it live, surely more would attend the ground if they couldn’t watch it for free at home…

Agreed. Nice for us folk living further afield. There were close to 6,000 watching at times.

I was at Lords for the 2001 final, which we should have won really with the talent we had in that side, but it's as well known for the infamous Scott Boswell over. Didn't think then, that it would be so long before we reached another 50 over final. Shadid Afridi was playing for us that day and incredibly he's still playing!

I thought Shadid Afraid was retired. But his son-in-law Shaheen now plays for Pakistan.

Maybe so but it's the beast the ECB created and were quite happy for us not to take part so :dunno:

We lost 3 important players. We’ve played two eighteen year olds throughout as well as a number of other young players. Quite frankly they can sod off.

Hound Road lower is no more than 500 seats I reckon, so that’s not a great idea.

2 for the most part Ackers only missed one match can't argue that other clubs suffered  worse most didn't even play 1 let alone 2 OS players. Great achievement none the Less.Ps can we we really call players like Kimber who's 26 a young player?
