Tight margins and proper Leicestershire that however at least one of the 2 shots from  Rishi that were stopped near the boundary should have been given as 4 with the fielder touching the ropes

although that 5 wides we got looked suspiciously like leg before to me!

Terrible last 5 overs from foxes. Mulder is the overseas pro. Gets 4 then holds out, after that it's headless chicken stuff.

However it's a point. I'd have taken that at the break.

Patel was a different class

I think that's a pretty good summary!

The worry is that Hull, Patel and Ahmed will be at Notts next season but I'm going to enjoy them all whilst they are still with us.

As for today, not sure what to feel about that result. Should really have won it after Rishi's knock but it feels like we got out of jail by getting a draw with 4 off the last ball.

Really need the overseas boys to step it up, though. Can't help feeling that we would be better off with a big hitting specialist batsman and a gun bowler as our overseas players in this format.

Just back from the game, they prepared an absolute road 😂

thought handscombe let us down badly there, poor from the captain not only for consecutive dots off his own batting but for also allowing kimber and mulder to get caught needlessly after both hitting boundaries..!

having said that, that’s what T20 cricket should be, never watched a hundred game and never will!

rishi was different class, we’d be a pretty poor batting unit without his runs in all honesty!

So you were one of the 18 the commentator  must have mentioned that fact every 5 minutes

you would imagine he will get a Hundred gig, and he deserves on frankly. I think Josh already has one doesn't he? Our team for our Metro Cup defence might be a little thin, to say the least

Not too much Hull Patel Ahmed don't see us losing any more plus imagine we will be just about the only side fielding 2 OS players again

Pretty sure Ahmed & Hull signed new multi year deals?

Patel will probably go I fear.

Patel signed a new contract last season also. Regarding Ahmed now he's got a central contract basically  he's not really a Leicestershire player the ECB pay his salary in full and he can only play when they say so

Our batting has been very frustrating.

Patel has been absolutely incredible and I think could be playing franchise cricket all winter if he keeps it up.

Kimber and Budinger are the other hitters and haven't really come off yet aside from one knock from the latter. Mike can also hit a long ball and contributed some important runs against Yorks but other than that continues to frustrate by having all the talent but absolutely no consistency.

Patel needs some more support from these three I feel.

He's the top run scorer in the Blast with a strike rate of 152. That will attract a lot of attention from franchises. He's about to move on to a whole new level of income.

Rishi has consistently improved his game since he joined us. I still believe Budinger may be able to do the same. Less so Kimber. But Budinger has to learn it’s not all about trying to whack it out of the park. Rishi’s knock last night was a masterclass in touch and placement. It really was an elite knock.

Let’s hope Mulder finds his rhythm with bat and ball. He is better than he’s showing at the moment. We know this.

Mike needs to start showing some cricketing intelligence or his career will soon be over.

Plaudits to Scott Currie. Absolutely trying his heart out. And Goldsworthy.

Currie has been great as has Goldsworthy.

I saw we extended the loan deal of the latter to include the next couple CC games (I think) so that seems like good business.

Indeed all about heads now

Hull, Ahmed and Patel must all be in England T20 contention.

Yep totally possible.I wonder how much the club will benefit financially  if this happens.Patel came from the Essex academy so they will receive  a fee every time he plays for England Ahmed was at Notts until he was 14  so no idea who benefits  financially  out of that one while Hull not really too much of an academy  product he's a cambridge boy who joined the club when he was 16/17 following a recommendation  from Dean Headley at Stamford school. Noticed the Norhants Commentator  called him a former Northants player on comms so guess he was at there academy at some stage

Up Scarborough way and was considering popping in to see a bit of Yorkshire but had a look at pricing £22.00 per adult. Assuming it's a little extra then usual for where it is but that's stupid

Still cheaper than what Notts charge for a four day game.

When you think you don't get much change out of £50 to go a football match and it's around a tenner  to watch Friar Lane don't seem that bad

Football has an audience willing to pay it though, County Championship games aren't packed to capacity are they
