That's one point gained as we were not chasing down the likely target with a damp outfield.

 

Bizarre team selection today. Who is Sam Wood? Why Walker over Currie? Is Stirling counted as an overseas player, who has been brought into replace Handscomb because the latter is injured? How come Rehan has been out for what seems a month with concussion when it's normally a 2 week absence max for that? 

 

Sorry, too many questions!

Currie has to be injured as there's absolutely no other reason why you'd leave him out. Ahmed is a strange one. You'd think if it was concussion he'd be OK by now.

The symptoms/impact of concussion can go on for any length of time. Absolutely right not to risk further or more severe brain injury if he's not 100%. Once he's passed return to play protocols he'll be back assuming it isn't something else.

 

Sam Wood is an academy player given a pro contract this year.

 

Stirling is indeed an overseas covering for Handscomb who is injured.

Great news re Scriven and Currie being back. Hopefully Rehan is too and we'll be looking much stronger again.
