Leicestershire County Cricket Club

Not into cricket but just put RL and the chairman of LCCC was talking about a tandom parachute jump he and some players are doing. Missed most so don't know if it is a personal or charity thing.

They're trying to raise money for the club. My old man is a member and received a letter asking for sponsorship.

With regards to Taylor and his 10 off 15 balls, he often does this in his 1 day innings and if he's out early it looks like a waste. But once he gets his eye in he goes ballistic. See the Notts game in TV earlier this year and also our T20 win last year at home aginst Derby (I think) when he kept us in the game then smacked three 6's in 4 balls.

As for Gurney, what amazes me is the fact that he hasn't missed any games with injury yet.

And the other Taylor, i'd have thought he'd be a must to try and build up some rough for Claude to bowl into.

Yeah but I actually like Taylor, he deserved to go to a bigger team than us as one day he could play for England unlike Gurney who couldn't even make our 4 day squad. Boyce great knock and someone please tell me how Eckersley is in team surely R.Taylor is better. Nice early wicket of Root.

What did I say, he's been called up for the second test against South Africa.

Went to Chelmsford and saw us put up a really good fight, but Essex had too much in the end.

You really cannot fault the commitment and effort of the players, they gave everything, I can barely remember a misfield and the bowling was tight until the 21st over which changed the game.

Thornely batted well, White bowled well, the team tried, but wasn't quite good enough.

Interesting decision having won the toss and elected to field away to Northants, would of thought today would of been perfect for batting, though I know nothing regarding the pitch could be a green top, although Northants are currently 47-0 which would say otherwise, could easily end up being batted out of the game, which is Leicestershires last chance of grabbing an away 4 day win this season, add on last seasons zero away 4 day wins that would be 2 seasons and 16 matches without an away championship win! No Hoggard today either. We need to get off the bottom of one of the leagues this season, somehow.
