Madeleine McCann

Recommended Posts

Just how stupid do they think we are?

Part of the film made by the Police Chief who was removed politically from the case, a film that is censored in this country.

If it's censored how come I've just watched it?

It might be that no TV stations in this country want to show it, but it doesn't mean it's banned.

Am I the Only one who is sick to death of Kate McCann keep popping up with teary eyes and wanting sympathy?

All this week in the sun, they have serialised a book by her, at one point she admits when they went out on their jolly's they didn't even lock the patio door on the apartment.

Now Scotland yard are looking into this I really hope these two 'parents' are arrested on 'child neglect' charges. Who in their right mind leaves three kids under the age of three on their own, never mind with the door open.

By all means keep Madeline in the news, but this woman makes me sick, hope she cries every night at the thought that her selfish and unbelievable actions helped this terrible event event to take place.

Charges should be brought

I agree with you.

It is very sad, and a terrible thing happened, though she shouldnt have been left alone in the first place.

That is neglect, and can count themselves lucky they were never charged by the Police on some sort of neglect charge.

They've ruined not only Madeline's life, their own but those twins' as well. How the **** are those two meant to have any semblance of normality when their sister was kidnapped due in part to their parents' neglect?

If they'd been working class they'd have been absolutely crucified at the time.

They might have been negligent and if they had have been off a council estate they would have been crucified that's true but they don't deserve to have their child took from them and their child doesn't deserve whatever fate befell her.

Wow.. harsh.

These people have lost a child, most likely they must think that their daughter has been murdered. They made a mistake and as a result they have the lost a child and even been accused of her murder.

and you hope they are suffering!!!

No child should suffer whatever Madeleine is/has suffered. But the parents really should know better, it's only common sense. Stop their bleating and accept they are/should have been responsible,

Not put across the best way, but i agree to somewhat. It is getting increasingly irritating.

What more can anybody do? It's been 4 years and not one decent lead so far, and i do really hope that she is found or what happened to her is found out but it was the parents fault, you don't leave your 3 kids alone in a foreign country with the doors open when they aren't in view.

Selling newpapers is what it's all about.

If imbeciles didn't buy these rags then she wouldn't get the publicity.

Next thing we know Mohammed Al Fared will be financing a film about it.

I have made mistakes, at 44 years old I've probably made quite a few, but as a father of two I have NEVER put my enjoyment before my kids safety. It beggars belief that an adult could leave babies on their own

Never? are you sure?

never smoked infront of them.. or allowed them in a room with a smoker?

never been drunk around them?

never left them in the car while you paid for petrol?

never fed them fast food?

never gone somewhere where they are uncomfortable?

never accidentally... tripped them, dropped them, bumped them

im a father also, id love to say that ive never put my child at risk.. but i cant.

congratualtions on your achievment of perfection

Thank you, common sense counts for a lot. Unfortunately you can't teach it!

I think letting your kids have a big mac is not quite the same as leaving them all alone at three years old while you go on the piss!

In no way am I saying that anyone would deserve what happened - it is the worse thing I can think of that could happen to any parent.

Oz - what they did is even remotely close to any of your suggestions - they were on the other side of complex having drinks.

They left a 3/4 (?) year old and a pair of year old twins on their own while they went to socialise.

What they did is not a mistake, it's a ****ing disgrace.

John 8:7

wow , there sure are some judgemental people around !

i did see a ridiculous headline in a newspaper the other day ( i think it was one of the redtop sundays ) and it read something along the lines of

"Kate and Gerry didn't have sex for X ( not sure ) years after Maddie disappeared "

I must admit that somehow had the opposite effect to the one i think they were trying to achieve

I'm sure I'll be criticized by monsieurs Le Hat and Webster for being so cynical but Cameron's involvement in this is somewhat disgusting, really. Takes a hit over a fresh education issue and so uses a missing child as a PR stunt? Not cool.

And regardless of whether or not he's "ordering" the met to intervene or if this "compromises the independence" of the police, it's still going to be Home Office money pumped into an investigation at a time when we're slashing our policing budgets and telling our regional offices they can't have as many staff on the beat.

:/

I can totally understand peoples annoyance here. They neglect a kid and become media darlings. There's something quite incredibly selfish about the McCanns imo. Love the limelight, however it may come about. Never use the crazy coverage they get to highlight the hundreds of children that go missing every year. I appreciate the hell they must go through everyday but no one's ever gonna know what happened. Enough moneys been thrown at this already.

Disgusting is a bit of silly word for it but no you're right Cameron can see the bigger picture just as the Labour party did when this first happened. It's what politicians do, to try and pretend that one party is morally superior to the other on things like this is ridiculous.

Personally I think it would be healthier for the McCanns to let it go now. The chances are are that Madeleine is dead or not likely to be found and they will have to live with the guilt of that for the rest of their lives. They don't need a bunch of judgemental strangers condemning them too.
