How Was Your Day?

Cheers mate, sorry to hear of your injuries.

I was very lucky (and maybe overreacted?) the swelling has dropped really quickly went to see my local Doc who is a bit of a sports specialist too, and he was 90% confident it wasnt that serious, offered to send me for an MRI which is apparently the only way to be 100% (and maybe what you need to do?) but that would cost me $300 and he said, I could rest it for 2-3 weeks and see if it is still an issue before doing the MRI.

Lots of ice and strapping over past few days and rest for the next few weeks and fingers crossed its all ok.

Good luck with yours.

Edit - Keep in mind im old and the career is pretty much finished so the doctor is a little more relaxed, if your still young and got a good few years of playing to go. id be finding maybe a sports specialist and getting further checks

I had an MRI June 2013 over that injury which is where one doctor told me about the medial ligament sprain but they never mentioned an ACL tear until re-injuring this year. Thinking about going for arthroscopic surgery but will wait a few weeks as it's feeling strong right now

Had an arthrosurgical clean up of my cartilage on the other knee about 12 years ago... get a fair bit of jib from that one with soreness and arthritis after playing these days. If i could avoid operations i would as long as possible.

Good luck

Had a nice day in town, saw a couple of agencies about potential job opportunities then couldn't resist going into Newmans when I saw they had the Homemade Beef and Onion pie special on, a better pie I still haven't tasted.

Decided then to finally do the King Richard III exhibit, really enjoyed it, thought it was exceptional value for money for less than a tenner.

resit results out, passed, which means I've passed the year and now have a 2:i in Chemistry. Pretty chuffed with that, Masters up next.

Well done doc. All that abstinence from sex is working for you.

Off to Riga, Latvia in a few hours for a stag do, any recomendations? I've been to Prague and Bratislava before which in that order were amazing and terrible.

Go to Lido for a bite to eat. Go to New Yorker and buy ridiculous colourful trainers. Drink in many weird and wonderful places. Don't watch Leicester play in the Bombardier pub because Chris Weale will let a late Paul McKenna shot under his body and we will lose 3-2. These are my experiences of Riga.

Stay in the Argonaut Hostel, I had checked in at the same time as a bunch of Swedish girls who invited me to play Twister in the common room.
