How Was Your Day?

Recommended Posts

Moved into university halls on Saturday. Been a bit of a mad weekend but been fun. Decided to take tonight off because my body hates me.

Any advice for the coming week? Trying to get myself out there but it's difficult because my actual flatmates are very quiet and keep themselves to themselves.

Found a bunch of girls who are great but I dunno, it's weird, it's like if I don't go out for a night do people forget you lol, it's all a bit juvenile this. I'm definitely going to be someone who gets homesick too which I fear. :(

The RAC have sent me a renewal pack and as a reward for being a loyal customer they've sent me a tax disc holder. Aren't tax discs phased out this month?

Yes, you only have two more weeks in which you need to display the tax disc http://home.bt.com/lifestyle/motoring/motoringfeatures/the-end-of-the-tax-disc-a-drivers-guide-11363928704833

Put yourself about a bit. If you just hang out with your flatmates you might get to the point where they're not really people you want to be friends with yet you're stuck with them. Don't be afraid to be a bit pushy getting to know people in other flats and halls because everyone is keen to make friends at the start.

Socialise as much as you can but if it's killing you don't go over the top because you'll get jaded. There's enough people that I'm sure you'll find a few people or a group that you fall into after a while.

Nail on the head though, it's very much a tactics game :P If you're tagging onto another flat say you've gotta keep up appearances otherwise you'll fall by the wayside. Dog eat dog my friend!

I've actually got it. They emailed me just now with an offer!

Well done mate, now get your head down, learn, be polite, be keen and try to enjoy

If you do you'll be fine, you're at a age where the World is your oyster. :o
