How Was Your Day?

Pretty Terrible really,

Lost my mum after years of battling ill health on monday, going to pick up the certificate from hospital today, Tomorrow cannot come quick enough so I can forget it all for a moment or two and watch Vardy fulfill his destiny (should he be fit enough)

How awful. :( One of my Uncle's went the year before last after struggling with cancer for 4 years (he actually was given the all-clear only a few weeks before he went).

Stay strong mate.

I feel for you Lee. I lost my mother just over a year ago. It's awful.

Sorry to hear that, Lee. I lost my Mum 11 months ago and it's been hard at times, sad at others - and positive in a "life goes on" or "life can still be happy" way at others.

I found that the funeral and chance to talk to family and friends afterwards was a start to "coming to terms with it", a long and sporadic process, I suspect.

There's no right or wrong way forward, though. I've ended up talking about my Mum a lot, probably to counteract the fact that I'm someone who's very emotional but inclined to bottle things up and be over-rational. Other family members have dealt with it differently.

Good luck. I'm sure our mothers would want us to be making the most of our own lives, anyway.

Lee,

We agree oftentimes on surprisingly little, however I'm genuinely sad for you on reading your news.

Be strong and be kind - that sentiment has worked for me.

Best wishes,

SL.

It would have been fine but why don't they ban golf karts?

The boy racers just plough up the course with their antics, the old uns  drive em here, there and everywhere while not moving more than 50 yards and the quicker players get right up everyone's arse they'd only make themselves more of a pain by blowing a hooter.

I hate the bloody things.

The only ones I like are either broken down or submerged in a stream that's in full flood. :(

Surely this should be merged with the things you hate about golf karts thread.

Sorry to hear that Lee.

Here's hoping Vardy can bring a bit of smile to your face tomorrow.
