How Was Your Day?

Recommended Posts

The TRJFP at the West End Centre was great. Roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It was carved up first so nobody had a leg. There were crackers put out on tables hats and those annoying hooter things. Lots of stuff for the public to take away.

There were some homeless packs available which really should be given out on the streets. Even though some homelrss people may attend, the thing is open to everyone. It is to save on food waste not a foodbank.

It is the last lunch time one today. Should still be plenty of stuff left. Tomatoes apples tins of sauces. I think a stew is on the menu from left over turkey and veg. Not sure how much I'll have. Going to the Crafty Burger tonight.

Not one of your best poems you've written Ken ,it just reads like a menu.

You've obviously never read the Phillip Larkin classic 'Little Chef'...

I got my dog s Santa outfit from poundstretcher but it's too small and he walks like a penguin in it.

I remember hearing a story about a mate who's mum bought their dog a santa outfit.

They'd had a new cream carpet fitted a few weeks before xmas day, and she put the outfit on the dog, it panicked, and shat all over the carpet.

Marvellous - I like buying presents. I only really go round the shops once a year so find it quite fascinating. My wife is like a child over Christmas, so wrapped up in the joy of it. We have a super family and never forget how lucky we are in that way. In fact in countless ways. I just wish it were the same for everyone.
