Currently on a ferry to Dublin for some work tomorrow. 4 hour drive from Leics to Holyhead (going through Stoke! Grrrr) however I do have the luxury of a free afternoon so a wander around Dublin is needed. Been about 5 years since I was last over

Met someone more pessimistic than me today, bloody hell!

(TBH i've not been so this season - and for good reason, there been nothing to be pessimistic about, but bloody hell, felt like hanging myself after listening to him).

Not sure if I've mentioned we're in Jamaica at the moment. It's 10.57 here (16.57 your time) and 30 degrees.

I have a lovely tan and am looking really quite sexy, BUT my feet are itching (prickly heat or summat)

I'll give another report soon.

Had a meal at the steak house at the London hippodrome and it was superb ! The staff were very good too and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

And .... Had a little flutter on the tables on the way out and ended up with enough to cover the meal and an extra fifty notes for the back pocket !! Bonus !

Was also very amusing seeing Mrs CF at the table ... Hadn't got a clue what she was doing and kept getting told off by the croupier ... And when the two Chinese blokes kept knocking her out the way to get their bets on that was the last straw and she stomped off.

How?

They delivered it to a co op supermarket 20 miles away from where I live and said they couldn't guarantee it would be redelivered before I 'go on holiday' today. I kicked up a stink about petrol and phone call costs etc and in the end they refunded me the money and I went and picked it up. All about being forceful on the phone, crumbled like a pack of cards they did.

Going to jump in the pool. Work is going slowly.

 

One funny thing happened, I asked on a FB group about how do people get invited to the UK High Commission events (Queen's birthday etc), someone replied with 'you need to be invited'. No sh!t Sherlock!! Made my day to laugh at how dumb people are.

Heading back down to uni tomorrow. Not looking forward to it at all. 3 weeks til exams start and my motivation has completely dwindled, seeing people working morning, noon and night in the library makes me question whether this is really me. Waiting for my Mark Zuckerberg moment
