How Was Your Day?

Recommended Posts

Funny night.

The students' union were promoting a night where you paid £10 to get in but got seven free drinks. The tokens you were given to get said free drinks were jelly beans. Me and my mate were too late to buy the £10 ticket so we had to pay £6 (which included no free drinks).

So we decided to make a quick trip to Tesco to buy a packet of jelly beans and stashed them in our pockets.

On the door I got frisked but my mate didn't (guess I'm just the threatening looking type). They found the jelly beans and told me to leave. I claimed they were to freshen my breath (lame excuse) and that I had no idea that they were free drinks tokens for the night. My protestations of innocence worked and they let me in after I surrendered my stash.

My mate gave me half of his jelly beans and we got smashed for free.

The End.

This exact same thing, minus the frisking, happened one night at my mate's union at some dodgy non-Uni in London.

The thing was just about EVERYONE had been tipped off. We didn't even pay to get in, we snuck in the back door.

Great night.

Well done on getting in after they found your stash though mate.

What a ridiculous thing to use for tokens! At our Union there were them 20p Jelly Bean machines, it would've been carnage

I just persisted. I think they knew I was trying to do them over but the bloke couldn't be arsed to argue and let me straight in. :D

Sheer idiocy. But I guess I should come to expect it from a union that thinks it can solve the world's problems and doesn't actually give a rat's arse about its students.

Think every union is the same, i know mine where like that. But at least they made sure we could get pissed everyday for cheap, £1 everyday!
