I just went for a 4 mile run in the sun around Hyde Park while listening to the Rocky IV soundtrack. Bloody brilliant.

I've made up for this strange spate of activity by lying on the sofa all day, playing FIFA, watching Little Miss Sunshine and eating curry. Now time for some MOTD action

Work was a snoozefest today and probably will be all week. Best thing to come out of today was nailing mine and Joe dot's fancy dress idea for Crewe away. Casino tomorrow night town thurs then MASSIVE day off Friday with hopefully another big weekend.

Wonderful. Brisk day business wise. Found out later that my lad and his partner had landed a major contract they'd been chasing for months and that my youngest grandson had been given confirmation that he'd been selected to make his age-group debut for the East Midlands squash team against Wales and various other areas.

YESTERDAY

Someone texted me (a not very nice text) at 4am (in reply to my text the night before).

(Luckily, I had had the good sense of leaving my phone downstairs, or it would have woken me up!)

Around 8pm, another text saying "sorry for the lack of reply, been out and got very drunk last night"

(lack of reply?!?!?!)

The 4am text has no spelling mistakes and sounds like just any other text this person has ever sent me. Except that it sounds somewhat offensive/condescending.

Not sure what to think about this. :unsure:

Should I ignore the 4am text? I find it difficult to, as I cannot imagine someone would imply something they didn't mean (at least in part) when they are drunk. But then I've never been "very drunk"... :unsure:

Just ploughed through the Highway Code and the RTA to do the job my solicitor is meant to be doing and drafted a reply for him to the cockends at the insurance company who are arguing that I was at fault when I got hit by a car.

Sometimes I feel as though the entire world is populated by arseholes and incompetent ****heads.
