How Was Your Day?

You must have the full whack insurance if you have underlying complications related to your impending surgery and they'll still pay for it! As an old hand at assessing health claims I'd be very suspicious! Ha!

Top drawer corporate scheme, ligation and stripping procedure already signed of including pre-op MRI scan on my head (pre existing condition) and duplex scan on my legs.

That must be a quality policy. Not many mortals who have private (personal) or even private (corporate) get PRX conditions or even PRX symptoms waved! Fair dues, I know someone who had your procedure done many many years ago, wearing shorts afterwards required a strong disregard of others opinions. Though I'm sure the methods will have improved, and post operative treatment too, as this happened a good twenty years ago. Good luck with it all.

It is, part of my overall remuneration though with 40% tax paid each month on the premium. My pre-existing condition is an occluded carotid artery in my neck which caused a stroke 4 years ago. The stroke was trauma induced rather than a lifestyle or congenital issue. I think the procedure is still pretty barbaric, involving incisions in the groin and other parts of the leg and simply stripping the veins out.

My legs look like sh*t now, terrible eczema and frequent cellulitis has left them most unattractive and painful.

Well, there's small vanity issue to overcome or the consequences of not doing it, it's not a difficult decision. I hope it goes alright and with private surgery it'll go fine. ;)

No call from Advecco about work with council. Only problemis there is no set hours so don't know how it works with signing on and off. The way she spoke on Tuesday Iwas expecting there to be work today and tomorrow. Up to 16 hours I can still sign on but still look for more hours. Am I not doing a job no matter what hours I do?

Signed up for that site. Did a piece on sightseeing in Leicester. Can't see any errors and I sort of bigged Leicester up saying what an excellent place it is for tourists. I think even the Queen would want to have a walk around after reading it. And Prince Phillip will be delighted with the part about the Diwali lights.

I'm sure I signed up for something similar. There was a lot of rules about you not being allowed to publish your piece anywhere else until they said so. I wanted to post an article on Community Pubs but I may have misunderstood the sites purpose. It was similar a list ofsubjects and you choose one to write something about.

Cant remember the rating one though. Sure I went straight in and posted something.

Attached the file if anyone wants to look and criticise and ruin my day. :)

I have a rating of 3 stars on that Textbroker, whick is average. Excellelant is 4 and proffessionalis 5. Looked at the articles available. None for the subjects I put down and the want 4 and 5 rating. Don't know much about cars, fashion, travel, games or plants which is some wanted.

Still no luck on the job front. Waiting to hear from Advecco about agency work, a security firm to respond about my list of locations and volunteering at a shop. and my email job alerts are not showing anything useful.

I don't consider myself as poor, maybe slightly above average. Depends on the subject. I noticed one error after I submitted and I went through it three or four times. I put on instead of one. My weak part is punctuation.

If a three star comes up I will try and do something if its just to increase my rating but if I get threes then the expectations won't be high.

Can't you do the article if it is above your rating?

It says your rating is based on each five articles.

I've just been looking at the tax credit calculater. According to what I put in someone working 48 hours a week on min wage would be able to claim. Doesn't seem right. I was doing that for seven years and never bothered to check because I had a wage coming in that I could live on. Although an extra £30 would have ben OK.

Will have to double check. All I want is enough to cover my rent and rates (if I cant get it paid) and a bit more than what the JSA is.

For others it is 30 hours before Tax Credits can be claimed. I only need do 16.

Just noticed the figure quoted is from the date I put down as starting (28th est.) to next April so would be more than £30 PW nearer to £45 (36 weeks) estimated.

Guest Col city fan

New Walk? Yeah it's pretty awful. Funny being inside though, red tape all round the floor where you can't stand cos it's structurally unstable.

Red tape at Leicester City Council!

Surely not?

Had a call off Advecco Agency. They asked me to worktomorrow. The shifts may be hit and miss so I don't know where I stand with signing on and off. May be too late to check with the jobcentre If I remember rightly if I'm not working the hours one week I just signon as normal but tell them whenI am. As its Friday tomorrow I cant tell them till Monday and wont know if I'm working or not.

EDIT; Jesus Christ, I've just seen what IoWFox put, I didn't see that before typing this out. I'll leave it up anyway but I am really sorry to hear that.

Basically I've been unemployed for a very long time, my mate has just started a tour of Europe and left his job at Caterpillar in Desford as a result, so he put my name forward (which I'm very grateful for) and I was called, signed up to Flex Recruitment in Hinckley and started work on Monday, I wasn't available on Tuesday (fvcking LCFC lol) which I'd already planned so I was pretty grateful that I didn't have to go in on that day, I had my induction on Monday and spent all day there, not a lot happened but they did drug tests, showed me around it etc... I was given a Caterpillar card and some boots and a hi-viz, the boots were to cost me £18 out of my first wage packet.

Basically it seemed like a standard warehouse and I was glad to start, I turned up yesterday and today and did the days of "training", I was apparently doing this for my first two weeks. I do make the odd mistake but I didn't work badly and I can genuinely say I didn't piss around at all, just got on with it.

Call off them an hour ago, "this is so and so from Flex, you're no longer required". This is after three days there, one of them being induction. Not needed? Not fvcking well needed? Why though? If I was;

a) not good enough, then why has the one person I've spoken to about it since from there claimed that I picked it up quicker than they did? It's such bollocks anyway, you surely can't judge that after two days when you're given two weeks training, unless you go seriously wrong, and did I? Did I fvck. Being honest not arrogant.

b.) genuinely not needed, then why was I taken on in the first place? I'm aware they've just loads go but why take me on if they're gonna fvck me off that quickly?

It's absolutely shambolic and I'm appalled. I was not told for one second this could possibly happen, it's come as total shock to me.

Don't touch them. They're cvnts.
