How Was Your Day?

Recommended Posts

Just on LCFC Direct looking at renewing my ST.

The seat I selected came up as -£1. Bargain!

EDIT:

I then added a -£1 seat to my basket, went to the checkout (which showed as empty) and now it won't let me choose a seat again because I've used up my allocation!

Ruddy website never works properly.

Things will improve, keep your head up mate.  :)

Cheers man  :)

Yeah, long term things are looking decent - got a good couple of job opportunities for when I finish this course in September. Just things are a bit fvcked in the short-term right now. Postgrad students really get shafted when it comes to money, it would seem. Still, I'm sorting it out.

To be fair if you commit yourself to self-funded post grad studies you should be well aware of the financial consequences. Ain't nobody just gonna turn up and shower you in money. I did my undergrad part time while working for a poverty wage and those were long, lean years I can tell you. Full time students were better off what with all the loans and grants and shit. P/t students got nowt m8. But it was fine by me because that's how I chose to do it.

Oh yeah, know it's all on me. In fact the reason for the current situation is someone I was counting on for support and had promised it withdrew it, so it's definitely all on me now. I've been scrambling for a solution since they told me. Should have had a contingency in place just in case, mind you. Still, it's all a learning experience and I'm not out of options.

We got the outside of the house (fascia etc) painted in an attempt to get the house sold, and the painter came to the door, I answered and he asked if my mum or dad was there.  I told him I was Paul. He looked shocked and then repeatedly kept on saying how you young I looked and how I sounded much older on the phone.

Bastard.

MsFoxy overheard all this and laughed.  She then said that I should be expect to be divorced soon as she met the painter and the fact that he thought I was her son was grounds enough.

Not great....started off well. Last day of work until Tuesday night. Clocked out to find I had a flat tyre, would normally be fine I'd just get down and change it. Only last week I had another flat, and was planning on getting that tyre replaced this weekend, typical.

Borrowed a work mates car, chucked the spare in and headed down to walkers. Not in stock. Had to leave the wagon at work and now have an annoying morning of going here there and everywhere sorting shít out.

All self inflicted I know, but I'm lucky like that. Big bottle of JD waiting at home for me though so that's probably gonna get a good seeing to later.

I have that effect on women too.

Spent a lot of today listening to an extremely boring man spout a quote fantastic amount of bull- and completely waste my time.

Didn't get any of my jobs finished - even though I started 90 mins early to try and get stuff done before he turned up. He then gave me a talk about 'commitment' when I started packing up at my finishing time.

Sorry chap, I've got an appointment. See ya.

EDIT: on the upside - the tidiest bird asked me out for a drink, unfortunately I had to decline because 1) she's also going to be a client and I like to keep things professional, and mainly because I'd prefer the money. 2) a bit too young for me.

No doubt one day I will regret this but I have to stay true to my morals.

Can you get it online I'm not intended to visit any of those places touchwood.

Not sure if it's on the web site yet still being updated. I have some copies not sure where to leave them. Would go round the pubs but not been in one for two months. There may be some in Coffee Republic  and Apex.

I must say it is a lot better than the magazine. Apparently it was simple to do. The site had the template and that was needed was paste articles in. formatting was done automatic. Cost less than the magazine as well.

If anyone plans a Foxestalk mag I can find out the web site where it was done. End of year one with all the best posts maybe?

I had my first beer for a few weeks. WSent to Bede Island for the Park festival. There was a beer tent. I resisted the temptation and only had half. Good day. Sun shining. Lovely weather and plenty to see. In Castle Park there was a bloke sculpuring with an electric saw. He was doing wizards for some reason. Saw one priced at £125.
