Yes they treat any ailment now. Went in A & E because of a fall, had the hand x-rayed and they strapped it up. I suppose I don't have to go back but as they are making the effort to treat me I should comply.

Is falling over and hurting your hand really worth a trip to A&E?

These people are absolutely snowed under aren't they?

You should have seen me. My face was covered in blood. I went into the nearby Health Centre for treatment. They called for an ambulance. I had an head injury. Luckily that never turned out to be serious.

You should seek out one of those 'Where there's blame there's a claim' companies, they would like the sound of this.

Been up since 4am observing and supervising the birth of my second child. It was two weeks late, and had to be medically induced. But the wife did a sterling job popping him out in a great time of 2hrs 35mins. I think that's worth a medal in delivery terms. Thankfully he's the cut of his mother, and he's pretty placid for a newborn, so must get that from his mother too. I just have to make him realise that his life is not worth living without the Foxes, and I've done my job.

Now to get down to the business of moving house in three weeks! Jeebus Crisps I like piling on the pain!

Congratulations

Stramge you say that. In the clinic someone said I was the second person that fell over in the same spot then less than a week later I was going by and there was a medic and policeman there attending a bloke with a massive cut to his head in the same place.

I think I would feel as stupid going through a claim court as I thought I was for doing it in the first place. Not something you want spread around.

Firstly congrats SF and extra congrats to Mrs SF for eventually delivering the goods.

Two letters in the post. One a payslip and the other from the DWP with a form to fill out declaring voluntary and part time work. I have already done this when I first got the job. It's something to do with all the changes. Had a letter yesterday saying how my JSA was changing but the dates they mentioned have already gone. Muppets.

Good news for radio fans. RaDNO will be broadcasting on 87.7Fm today and every Thursday in June from 12-4 PM. It is mainly a talk show with special guests discussing interesting news items surrounding social issues.
The last hour is devoted to announcements about what is going on in Leicester and promotion of local talent in the arts, music etc.

One event I noticed yesterday. Warlock Leicester's longest running local band, are appearin at the Hind on London Road on Friday June 7th. Founder and lead singer Ken Spencer is now in his 70's proving you are never too old and Mick Jagger has a few years to catch up.

Yesterday was pretty dull, apart from booking next years holiday, despite the fact I haven't been on this years holiday.

Don't think i have ever planned a holiday so far in advance, on a bit of a whim I'm off to ibiza for a week in june, in a whole 363 days time.

Yes sphericalfox, congratulations!

... Went to a party last night, then went out. Probably the last time before I move out of halls on Saturday :( Got back and then about 8 of us went out on the green outside of halls at like 6am. Mate tried to climb one of the trees and fell out, classic. Two of us walked to Tesco to get lucozade drunk at about 8.30am when everyone else was walking to work. Stayed up some more then went to bed at about 9.30am and just woke up.

We had a strategy to avoid the immediate envy for attention from the 1st, and plan on keeping it up. Thankfully the 1st is a girl and the 2nd is a lad, so that will help.

Yes same here.  Isabel has been great 98% of the time, but you still get the occaisional "mummy doesn't love me anymore"  which is a little bit heartbreaking.  Bless her she is only 4.
