How Was Your Day?

Recommended Posts

Stay out all night and you can expect a bit of shit from the Mrs. Happens to us all. The day she doesn't care is the day you've got a problem. Why not do something nice to make it up to her, and then maybe she'll be a bit more receptive to your problems. Happy wife, happy life.

Yeh true. It's hard to get her to do anything when she won't be in the same room as me lol

Mixed very mixed.

The missis is pathetic. I drove out to Loughborough last nigh to meet some mates who'd been out all day. Had a brilliant time and ended up having a brilliant night. Had to crash out at my mates (ended up kipping in his garden) and came home this morning.she's fuming. Ive been struggling at home big time recently. Dads ill and it's putting a strain on me to see them struggling together. Mums got visibly older as she's stupid enough to try and carry on pleasing everyone and keeping commitments as well as looking after my dad. I help as much as I can but often work away so it's hard. My brothers in oz til August though he may be cutting his trip shorter to come home and help out. Tbh I need him here big time to share my burden.

Anyway, got a bit emotional about all this whilst in this garden what with being fathers day. Finally decided to actually open up to my missis about it n how ive been feeling to get told to '**** off' the above was the reason for me going overboard last night but she just thinks it's an excuse. She constantly goes through my phone so had no hesitation earlier in doing the same to find she'd ridiculed what I'd told her to her mate. Now at this point my missis is coming across a as a bitch but she's actually usually lovely.

There is no talking to her, I'm getting the silenttreatment today apart from snidey comments about whether I'd pulled last night.

Combine that with the **** up on my bathroom fan Im feeling seriously down today

Sorry to hear that buddy.

Was having this conversation with my mates last night.

When you get to our age, parents become a worry don't they? The parent-kid role kinda becomes reversed I think.

Having a supportive partner is crucial in this respect because if you are worrying about your parents AND your missis at the same time it doubles the trouble I guess...

My way round this is to not live with someone at present. This way I can get on with looking after mum (dad has died) in my own way without constantly having to worry about the impact this would have on any relationship I might be having.

I do have a girlfriend who is great, but also the time and the space at present to manage my own life.

Stay strong bud...

Thanks I agree with all you say.

I saw this happen with my nana caring for my grandpa before he died and it broke my heart. I never imagined two years later I'd be watching the same with my own parents- though my dad isn't anywhere near that bad yet.

It's just hard. Really hard, and she makes it worse not better

There's currently a wood pigeon chick dying in our back garden having fallen from the nest and the mum is just sat in the nest without a care in the world.

Heartless bitch!

S'women for you!

Moving into my first flat on Friday so today was spent with my old dear going round Hinckley buying pots and pans and knives etc, then starting to pack up and chuck stuff out. It's amazing how much crap you accumulate over the years.

It's about time too, 25 seems like an old age to still be living with parents.

Now that the stress of the actual purchase is over I can concentrate on the good stuff!

(Must remember to tell LCFC my new address, can't have my mates turn up the the opening game of next season and find themselves sitting with my bloody mum!)

What an eventful day for me.

Two panic attacks from my mum, second one we had to get the ambulance out and take her to hospital...again

Then which when she calms down she is alright again, so now she is home looking and sounding fine.

I even laughed when she was having the first one  :nono:

DNO newspaper is available online for those that asked about it.

Read or not it is up to you I don't mind. Some cheerful stuff in it and a couple of interviews.

Interesting read. I am all for work with the homeless and raising awareness. it's a good cause. I am not sure why DNO are politicizing themselves though with the bedroom tax protests. It just looked like an anti tory mob with banners of "EVICT THE TORIES" and "The Socialist Party Leicester".

Er, you want a homelessness organization that isn't particularly left leaning and anti-Conservative? Good luck with that.

Currently doing work experience at a solicitors firm in Leicester, on my lunch break on my first day. I'm already wondering what I'm doing here, the boss is going to annoy the hell out of me. So far I've carried around a few folders and opened a few letters.

At least the boss seems to like me, he perked up when I mentioned that I was a Foxes season ticket holder. I think he likes having someone to talk to about sport.

Walked into the Wycombe Wanderer's shop in the"Eden Centre" this morning in my Leicester shirt, and pointing out to my partner the "tatty Wycombe Wanderer's shirts" in a rather loud voice. No one said anything, but if looks could kill.     lol

Thing is all they have to do is point out Essandoh and that is a rebuttal enough to shut most of us City fans up sadly.

What an awful day that was.

Found out today that one of the Art teachers at the school I work at went out with Trevor Benjamin for 2 years including when he left Cambridge to join City.

She dumped him as apparently he was an absolutely lovely bloke but thick as two short planks - as I've kind of always expected.
